Thank you for the info. I've had an Achieva, a Crossover, and a Catleap all fail on me over the years. After my most recent Catleap failed, I decided to buy an Acer K272HUL which wasn't that much more expensive and has given me no more trouble.

Just as a follow-up to this, the LG 27UD68-W is finally available on Best Buy for $499. I was a bit surprised that Best Buy of all places was cheaper than the Egg, but hey, it is what it is. I realize they're limited to 60Hz, but I can live with that for three years.

Thanks for your reply. I'm okay with the size of 4K on a 27. As for the refresh, I just don't know enough about the monitors that are out there to know if there's even a 4k 27" IPS monitor that has a higher refresh (I don't believe there are).
