Looking for an LCD with pretty specific requirements

Well, either that site doesn't regularly update its inventory stock or no one seems to be willing to buy that LCD because it's been at 96 stock for a while now.

How to calibrate the NEC LCD 26' LCD2690WUXI ?

If you bought the SV version, it'll have the calibration software/hardware included. Else you can buy the kit here: http://www.necdisplay.com/Products/Accessories/?product=1713e080-c8e3-4aab-9447-73dacb301b84 I just got my NEC yesterday and it looks even more amazing after calibration.

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

You're right, the difference in price is because the Newegg.com model has the calibration software. The 26" model is about $75 more than the 24" on Provantage both without the software. Is there any difference between the 24" and 26" besides price, size, and pixel pitch?

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

Ok, so I've changed my mind. :D Couldn't stand the thought of losing image quality for what could be unnoticeable response time. Should I buy the 26" or 24"? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824002349 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824002169...

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

I've decided to go with the DS-263N. It's cheaper and (apparently) faster. I plan on returning it if it doesn't match up to my CRT (high standards, I know), and will order the NEC to give it a shot. Hopefully the widescreen view is worth the hassle. Thank you all for the your comments and...

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

I've also been looking at the Samsung SyncMaster 244T. Any thoughts on this LCD? It did get a great review @ http://www.trustedreviews.com/displays/review/2006/03/29/Samsung-SyncMaster-244T/p1

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

Does Overdrive really reduce the lag on the LCD2490WUXi-BK? I also keep getting different specs from difference sources. Buy.com has the g2g response time @ 6.5ms Newegg.com has it @ 8ms Another source I can't recall had it at 7ms Additionally, the SV version of the NEC here...

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

Gaming/Watching DVDs. I do work with photoshop from time to time, but not enough to sacrifice any gaming peformance. If I could, I'd buy a widescreen CRT, but they don't seem to be in production anymore. Are the three advantages Luthorcrow mentioned worth the loss of response time/screen...

    PX2611W 26" vs 2490WUXI 24"

Ah, thanks. Fixed them. I have just read ToastyX's post on the DoubleSight thread and it appears that it and the Planar are nearly identical, so I will buy it instead. That makes the dollar gap between the 26" and the 24" even greater...

    Switching to LCD, need help!

Hello, I've always owned CRTs and have never purchased an LCD before. I'm currently using this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824133165 I absolutely love this CRT, the only thing I've started to dislike is that it is not widescreen. Sometimes I like to view...
