    opps.... i meant instead going intel/amd ... why not, as the above poster said, 2 intel skull trail octo-core units :) Or better yet wait for the Quad Gainestown chips to come out, would prolly be due in a months or so :) As the nehalem architecture + quick path is quite a huge leap...

    planning on upgrading my Macpro Dual 5130 cpus to Harpertown ones. But I've read in various froums that it wont work, as apple hasn't release a firmware update for it. :) So instead im planning on going E5345s... anyone tried this, would this work?
