i tried fedora 15 and ubuntu 11.04, none are working properly, after online updating ubuntu works but fedora doesn't. what's happening, anyone know something?

amd video cards can work with mini-dp.

both your cpu+ssd are a good thing to upgrade imo. upgrading the system with a ssd will make your system fly.
