    Nintendo Amiibo Collectors Thread

I find it funny this forum jumps to life the moment a new wave pre-order comes out, lol. Yeah, nintendo has kind of crushed me. I'm quite frustrated! Aghh! I do customs, too, and getting my hands on them to customize has become impossible

MS Clarifies why Win 10 is free

They've basically done this exact same thing before. Can't say it's not a pain in the butt though, having to install one and then the other. I'm just glad this new OS came out while I can still get my hands on the Student version ;)

Windows 10 to support 8K video resolution

They're at least trying to think ahead, which I'm a little surprised about, haha

What is the best way to connect a Dreamcast to a modern TV?

VGA adapter --> an HDMI adapter with a sound input. I've got it and it works like a charm and looks great!

Ps4 is a lovely $400 netflix/hulu machine in my apartment right now. The thing is a great system, but there aren't any games. Bloodborne is the first one to come out that makes you go "yeah I need a ps4 for this". If you play indie a PS+ membership and a PS4 is really great as you get 3+ free...

How soon do you expect DDR4 to get within 110% the cost of equivalent DDR3?

I agree. Right now it's adoption that's a main problem. People have to be able to use the stuff on most setups for the price to go down from a niche, high end product.

    What should I upgrade?

Part of me thinks he got the dog to pose just to make the whole thing look cooler. Also I'm with everyone else...Those cards look too close together. They're gonna burn!

How long did it take you to like Windows 8?

I feel like it's a bit smoother than 7 for some reason...Maybe it was aero slowing things down, idk. But windows 8 took a little bit, thanks to that new interface. Ech. The start menu... Thank god for the 1 improvement in 8.1 that was adding those apps to the taskbar for once. Sometimes it would...

Why Carnival Claw Machines are so hard to pick up stuffed animals

Oh, and another thing! Make sure the crane size is relative to the toy. Sometimes crane games will put too big a toy for the claw size, so it's impossible to get them. If the prizes are smaller, it's easier period. Also, there are UFO catchers which have 2 "prongs" to the claws. Those are fine...

Why Carnival Claw Machines are so hard to pick up stuffed animals

I've gotten a lot of toys from crane games over the years. The trick is to simply find an arcade that has them set to a reasonable amount. I know an arcade that, in certain days even, will make the crane games easier. They have nice prizes, too. Video game characters, Disney... I'll often spend...

Differences between a good heatsink and bad one if they're the same size?

Really, it comes down to structure and design. Like, for instance, the PS3 fat gaming consoles are known for shitty heat dispersion, probably in part due to crappy thermal paste, but also a badly designed heat-sink. It has very little area for air to go through, so it never pushes the heat...
