Hey everyone, I've recently aquired the 27" G7 and I've stumbled across something rather odd in regards to HDR. I know the monitor is a true 8-bit display and supports 10bit through FRC, and I understand that FRC is temporal dithering. However I noticed if I force 8bpc through NVCP my HDR games...
Thanks for the reply, that's awesome to hear.
Edit: I found a 4 day old post on reddit claiming that the CX currently has a bug where 1080p won't run @ 4:4:4 but 1200p or 1440p will. Link If that's true I'd imagine it'll be fixed with a firmware update.
For anyone who actually owns a CX, can you confirm if it can run 1080p@120hz 4:4:4? RTings.com states that it can't, yet I've read posts claiming it worked on the C9. Also if it can run 1080p@120hz 4:4:4, can G-Sync + HDR be enabled together at that res? And my final question, does enabling...
While a water trap probably isn't necessary, I do like to run mine with a regulator to drop the pressure from the 120psi it comes out of the tank at. (I also have a water trap attached but it's more for painting with the airgun)
It would be interesting to see if these drivers somehow degrade performance in regular games compared to the regular drivers, but I don't understand why it would.
This is definitely good news but I have to say my G502 is an excellent quality mouse. My original MX518 died from cable issues and while Logitech did replace it (3 times actually) I eventually moved to the G502 and it's lasted quite a few years so far.
Am I the only one who thinks "1660" is an absolute terrible name for a gpu? Has a really odd flow to it, and only 3gb is really not enough for 1080p in 2019, should keep that on the 1050.
Another great review thank you! I do have to say that after testing a lot of different graphics options I ran into a lot of stuttering, but after clearing the BFV's shader cache in the documents folder it seemed to have fixed it and also stopped the constant pop-in I was getting. Also it's worth...
In the conclusion you mention that using a 4 core CPU isn't really an issue in BF4, but aren't you running HT on the i7? I would really love to see some comparisons of it running as a simulated 4-core as my i5-2500k @ 4.5ghz and GTX 1080 (and now 2070) can't keep FPS above 30 when the action...
While I don't know what kind of reviews were left, my Father told me he was banned from leaving reviews on Amazon after getting a clearly counterfeit item and stating as such in the review; This was probably 2 months ago. Kind of sad that their response to poor quality seems to be silencing...
The reason GPU's are about adding cores is that graphics related tasks are easily parallelized where you can split up the work to as many 'cores' as we you want, while many tasks traditionally for CPUs just aren't able to be broken down and processed beyond one thread, such as pathfinding etc.
I had to rollback to 398.82, was getting massive performance regression with the newest driver on evga 1080 ftw2. I know it's an older game, but I've been going through my steam library to finish up some games; in Syrian Warfare I was getting about 1/3rd the performance (50fps instead of 150).
This seems to be the only real description I can find of the material; https://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/2018/cutting-edge-heat-shield-installed-on-nasa-s-parker-solar-probe
"Parker Solar Probe’s heat shield is made of two panels of superheated carbon-carbon composite sandwiching a...
