    I have a Pioneer DVD-Rom drive that is a slot-loader like a car cd player. It is sweet as hell but I wonder why no one else manufactures cd/dvd burners and such this way. I don't think you can even buy the Pioneer ones any more. They were so much sweeter than the traditional tray based models.

    We are getting ready to buy a few new laptops. I am trying figure out what I should go with for the highest performance possible. Which is better, the Pentium-M (Centrino) laptops or the high Ghz P4 laptops? Like say a Pentium-M 1.5GHz compared to a P4 2.8GHz?
