update: i fixed the laser led problem, even though its running on 1 LED i still got it to be as bright as it was before. ok here is what i did. i put the LED on the 5v line with some resistors, and a switch. i made the etch in the plexi deeper as well. the only bad thing is that the back now...

^^ actually it was my fauly i should have explained it more. and gregnash, i will defenetly work on stealthing the laser led... including the leds in the plexi is doable... i will do it. thanks for th idea.
yep, thats exactly what im going for. i am putting ALL my attention in the details, i want it to look factory made instead of modded. this does not mean though, that its gonna be easier than a "conventional" mod :)

EDIT: as an update, i made a fitting logo for the door hole as well :)
i got a piece of frosted plexi, and made the usual design on it :). it was placed right behind the door mesh, take a look for yourself. looks a lot better IMO:
