Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Using a Deathadder since May '08, hasn't let me down a single time. Fits my hand way better than Logitechs G9. MX5xx/G500 is a decent alternative, but I suggest you try a couple at your local shop.
Well all I wanna know is if it's any use to use this as a secondary drive, since I'm already using an (older) SSD as my C drive.
Will the extra flash provide a performance boost when it's not your boot drive?
Should've guessed stating the controller would make things more clear: it's Intel's ICH10R.
Well, I'm already using an OCZ Core V2 120GB SSD as my boot drive, with a 2GB Readyboost on the side. For my main storage I'm using 2 older 250GB Samsung Spinpoints with no RAID at all. Accessing larger...
I want to upgrade my system by using my on-board RAID-controller. I've got space to fit 3 2.5" drives in RAID5 but because of my limited budget SSD's and Raptors are out of the question... besides... don't need that much performance anyway.
I prefer to use WD's 320GB Scorpio Black BEKT drives...
Great, I was hoping it would do the trick. It's kinda lame to replace an entire PSU because it misses a couple of connectors.
Just one last question: will this mod void my warranty? I suppose when I need to RMA the PSU (should it ever happen) it's just the unit and not the entire thing; cabling...
Okay, I'm currently running with the Silent Pro M700, CF'ing 2 HD4850's
I was warned that I could experience "issues" with 1080p-gaming when not using the HD4870, and guess what; they're there alright (Told u so anyone?)
Anywayz, I found 2 decent priced HD4870's for my upgrade, but here's...
Liquid cooling a SG03 would go a lot better when placing a 2x120mm rad in the front. Now that Scythe has 120mm slim fans it should be possible to fit 2 4890's and an i7.
Only drawback is you'll probably lose the front hdd-bay.
I have to admit that the Antec is a pretty good suggestion. Small and powerful usually don't mix that well. Just not fond of that semi-modular design. It does leave more unnecessary cables inside the case than I wish for.
That's why my initial thoughts went for the Silverstone because of its...
Okay guys, little bump here.
Had to postpone the build for several reasons, but I'm back on it again.
Noticed a big pricedrop concerning the Ati cards, so I decided to up the ante and go for 2 XFX 1GB 4870 XXX cards. Unfortunatly this means the planned Cooler Master PSU has to go because...
Currently the site still works, but atm it's pretty sluggish. I guess people are pulling down a lot of stuff now that they still can.
Anybody know any portalsites that can relay the site from abroad?
Well I suppose your right.
Anyway... since the prices still continue to drop I decided to go for 2 4870 1GB cards. They currently sell XFX' 4870 XXX 1GB for under € 140,- while a 512MB 4770 can cost you up to € 109,-.
I should be able to order the 23" model around here for about 200,- and looks good. Reviews say it a solid performer as well, except for the viewing angle. But that's not posing a problem with me, I'm just gonna sit right in front of it.
Tnx for the heads up, really appreciate it.
Did some...
Well... I suppose it could be used as a last resort... but only if I don't succeed in finding a suitable monitor.
Besides I'm not in a hurry, so I'm taking my time and who knows...
Tnx anyway ;)
