Deathadder fell apart - recommend me a light mouse for "claw" grippers?

Using a Deathadder since May '08, hasn't let me down a single time. Fits my hand way better than Logitechs G9. MX5xx/G500 is a decent alternative, but I suggest you try a couple at your local shop.

    Seagate Momentus XT

Well all I wanna know is if it's any use to use this as a secondary drive, since I'm already using an (older) SSD as my C drive. Will the extra flash provide a performance boost when it's not your boot drive?

    RAID5 using 2.5" drives

Should've guessed stating the controller would make things more clear: it's Intel's ICH10R. Well, I'm already using an OCZ Core V2 120GB SSD as my boot drive, with a 2GB Readyboost on the side. For my main storage I'm using 2 older 250GB Samsung Spinpoints with no RAID at all. Accessing larger...

    RAID5 using 2.5" drives

I want to upgrade my system by using my on-board RAID-controller. I've got space to fit 3 2.5" drives in RAID5 but because of my limited budget SSD's and Raptors are out of the question... besides... don't need that much performance anyway. I prefer to use WD's 320GB Scorpio Black BEKT drives...

    Is 700W sufficient for OC'd CF-setup

Great, I was hoping it would do the trick. It's kinda lame to replace an entire PSU because it misses a couple of connectors. Just one last question: will this mod void my warranty? I suppose when I need to RMA the PSU (should it ever happen) it's just the unit and not the entire thing; cabling...

    Is 700W sufficient for OC'd CF-setup

Okay, I'm currently running with the Silent Pro M700, CF'ing 2 HD4850's I was warned that I could experience "issues" with 1080p-gaming when not using the HD4870, and guess what; they're there alright (Told u so anyone?) Anywayz, I found 2 decent priced HD4870's for my upgrade, but here's...

    New SG03 Build

Liquid cooling a SG03 would go a lot better when placing a 2x120mm rad in the front. Now that Scythe has 120mm slim fans it should be possible to fit 2 4890's and an i7. Only drawback is you'll probably lose the front hdd-bay.

    Is 700W sufficient for OC'd CF-setup

I have to admit that the Antec is a pretty good suggestion. Small and powerful usually don't mix that well. Just not fond of that semi-modular design. It does leave more unnecessary cables inside the case than I wish for. That's why my initial thoughts went for the Silverstone because of its...

    Is 700W sufficient for OC'd CF-setup

No limitation, a PSU can make or break a decent system. As long as I think it's worth its price.

    Is 700W sufficient for OC'd CF-setup

Okay guys, little bump here. Had to postpone the build for several reasons, but I'm back on it again. Noticed a big pricedrop concerning the Ati cards, so I decided to up the ante and go for 2 XFX 1GB 4870 XXX cards. Unfortunatly this means the planned Cooler Master PSU has to go because...

XFX HD4770 1GB worth the wait?

Well I suppose your right. Anyway... since the prices still continue to drop I decided to go for 2 4870 1GB cards. They currently sell XFX' 4870 XXX 1GB for under € 140,- while a 512MB 4770 can cost you up to € 109,-.

    Which matching monitor?

I should be able to order the 23" model around here for about € 200,- and looks good. Reviews say it a solid performer as well, except for the viewing angle. But that's not posing a problem with me, I'm just gonna sit right in front of it. Tnx for the heads up, really appreciate it. Did some...

Well... I suppose it could be used as a last resort... but only if I don't succeed in finding a suitable monitor. Besides I'm not in a hurry, so I'm taking my time and who knows... Tnx anyway ;)

    Need muffler for 4890 fan....

Well afterall, we are talking about the 4890, like the 4870 people tend to disassemble the stock cooler and reassemble the red plate for some additional cooling. We all know the S1 rev.2 works like a charm on both the 4830 and 4850, but those aren't the cards this topic is about;)

    1080p low noise gaming doable?

1GB cards it is then. Besides, the prices dropped like flies compared to the ones I posted 3 months ago. I'm even considering a CF 4870 1GB XXX setup now with prices this low. But can they be silenced with Accelero S1's without having to tie any fans to them or using those ugly red plates?

    Which matching monitor?

Well I did consider replacing the LED with a white one, but it turns out more than 99% of those LED's are tiny SMD LED's which I simply haven't got the tools for replacing them. I don't mind doing a little casemodding but I'm a little bit hesitant to void the waranty over such a tiny part...

    Which matching monitor?

Hi all, My latest casemod is a black case with white lighting together with a matching keyboard (Logitech Illuminated) and mouse (Razer Deathadder Mac) I also want a matching black LCD monitor with (you guessed it) a white power-LED. I haven't got any huge demands concerning the specs: It...

XFX HD4770 1GB worth the wait?

It's gonna be SFF based, so like u said, the 4770 has lower heat output and combines that with decent OC-potential. Especially the power consumption, it saves about 140Watts in CF. But I was told that 128-bit GDDR5 provides around the same bandwidth as 256-bit GDDR3. If it does, then my guess...

XFX HD4770 1GB worth the wait?

Somebody hasn't been reading right. #1 It's either the 4770 of 4850, nothing more, nothing less. #2 I want silent operation #3 So go read it right and start thinking about a proper answer. That'll keep u busy for a while ;) Besides, multiple reviews already showed that 512MB can act...

XFX HD4770 1GB worth the wait?

Hey guys, For my CF Casemod in Progress I need 2 black PCB 1GB cards, either XFX's 4850 1GB or the "announced" 4770 1GB. I'd like to outfit them with the Accelero S1 rev.2 so anything hotter than a 4850 is a No-Go. The 4850 prices are dropping like flies, first 512MB cards are already...

SFF graphics advice: HD 4770 vs GTS 250 1Gb?

Well only if you mean a 22" displaying 1680x1050, when displaying @ 1080p 512MB probably won't cut it. btw, shouldn't this topic be moved to the GFX department?

SFF graphics advice: HD 4770 vs GTS 250 1Gb?

It's rumored that XFX is readying a 1GB 4770 card. Just google "xfx 4770 1gb" and you'll get loads of hits. That's the one I'm currently waiting for myself, but I consider myself an Ati Fanboy, so I'm not completely unbiased. :D

    Best Sugo HSF?

Well, like I said before, I'd like to get up to 4GHz or very close near it. It's not like I need a LN2-rig. Anyway, I never could find the load temps of your Q6600. Just that your idle temps dropped by about 10°C, nor the speed it was running @. About the blowhole mod, I haven't got any pics...
