Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
You can outfit a mining laser, so yes.
I'm not sure how the economy works but everything is tied together. Over the past week of the beta all the prices have slowly equalized now that people can afford large cargo ships. But we're stuck with a ton of players in a pretty small chunk of space...
It's factory overclocked.. so yeah, you will not have as much headroom to OC.
I have only experienced coil whine while running Futuremark, but I guess it could happen with certain games. The rattling fan noise sucks.. I was able mostly eliminate it by tightening the screws on the fans, but...
Yeah, the biggest problem was looking backward in the aircraft. If you keep it forward facing like in a racing game or arma I think it's a pretty ingenious piece of kit.
I had a TrackIR 2 when that version came out. I could never get it setup to my liking. It was great for racing games because I could lock the movement down to 30-45 degrees left and right. But In flight sims it was just too wild to control, especially to 'check my six', and it never felt...
We support the game and get access to an old alpha build to look at. I honestly will probably not touch it again until trading is implemented, and that may be just as a test also.
I'm not sure how the access details work out but it seems the original alpha backers get the most current game...
I have a 780 GHZ Edition that recently replaced a 6970. It was a pretty remarkable improvement in case noise. I can not answer whether it would be acceptable to you or not however.
The card will whine when running Ice Storm, but I have not noticed it during normal gaming.
The card did tend...
This may be known.. but it was a bit of a surprise to me. I upgraded my 6970 to a GTX 780. I could only do 110hz with the 6970 before seeing horizontal lines on the display. The GTX 780 does 120hz without issue with the same DVI cable.
My wife has a set of 990's at her computer.. I totally agree they are decent headphones. They are very technical sounding to me however. If someone was to use them for gaming they would need to use Dolby Headphone or a spatializer of some sort. (It may come down to whether one prefers...
The DT880 and DT990 are pretty neutral sounding headphones with a distinct lack of any spatialization (drivers are not angled, etc.). They are decent headphones, but I would not recommend them for someone wanting a 3d sound stage.
Edit: Just did a little more reading on the subject. Some people...
There is one instance where you help an NPC and something goes wrong resulting in a shader effect being applied to your screen for an amount of time. This is kept with the save game, so perhaps it's similar in nature. (best guess)
One would think there would be a console command to remove the...
