Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Hi all,
Unfortunately it looks like there's no more use for my prized FW900 in my studio. :( It has no color issues or scratches on the anti-glare coating, some marks on the bezel, but nothing that impacts operation, still looks great considering the age. Can anybody give me an idea of what...

Retrieved my computer in pieces from the "service" shop, which seemed to only exist to take apart my computer and further confuse the situation.
Put it back together, mounted it with 1 stick of ram and CPU and got to post. Shortly...
Does anybody have any input regarding the idea that the "cpu was drawing too much power from the socket". Does this even make sense?
I'm starting to regret taking it anywhere to be honest, but will be rushing to get it back today for perhaps more troubleshooting.

The pricing for RAM is definitely not on my side either. The sticks I mentioned seemed to be the best price/performance that I could find, but in terms of my needs...
Thank you for your input, was also looking into the ASRock AB350 Pro4 for a board.
You're absolutely right about the sticks, didn't make it clear in my post that I'm going to go either 2x8GB or 2x16GB.
After almost 5 full years of loyal service, the above combination died on me recently. I've never really been happier with a build in terms of meeting my needs, so it's pretty devastating, but 5 years is pretty good.
It simply stopped posting out of nowhere. I troubleshot everything, then on...
