Same here, I was planning on building a whole new gaming rig with two 690's. I won't be buying anything for this new system from newegg. I may just boycot them from any future purchases altogether. I expect this sort of price gouging from fleabay scum but not from a supposed reputable...

Well, I wasn't fast enough to grab a reference card from EVGA so I submitted a pre-order for the signature series. Meh.. an extra 50 bucks for a t-shirt and mouse pad but at least I don't need to constantly hold down F5 on Newegg or Amazon.

The Nvidia driver issues also surround SLI setups. I have a tri-sli setup with 3 480gtx's and while playing on my 30' monitor my gpus never go above 50% usage yet I am still unable to play at max settings. Something is definately wrong and no one at Nvidia seems to care.

Some games are more CPU bound than others. I am sure an even greater difference would have been apparent with a game like MW2, which is notoriously CPU bound.
