Hi all,

Going to Cuba to support the Cuban people and help them out during these dire times. Frequent blackouts and prolonged power outages prevent the people from trying to live what at the very least resembles a normal life.

In any case, whenever they do get power, they'd like to be able to charge as many things as possible.

Looking to purchase used power banks to take with me. Since it's coming out of my pocket, I'd like to keep it reasonably priced.

Also, looking for smaller ones since I'd rather be able to help four people with smaller ones than one person with a larger one. But, I'll take anything you don't need and want to get some cash for it.

Thanks!

How are you going to transport them. All major airlines have a limit of 2. Smuggle on the sea? You'll get shot at
Just curious what's the plan?

I'm going with a group of 5 people (six, including me). We divided up the responsibilities and I took the battery straw. We can take a total of twelve; two per person. One guy got medicine (Tylenol, Advil, vitamins, band-aids, Neosporin, etc.). Another one got clothes/shoes (I did this last time). And so on...

I also have Gold status on American, so I get first luggage for free for all the non-electronic stuff.

Would you accept a donation to purchase a set of power banks to bring? Will Amazon ship a box of them to Cuba?

Glad you've got the whole bringing it on a commercial flight thing planned out, didn't even think about how that would work.

Amazon won't ship to Cuba. If you do order, the only thing I can do is document and photograph who I give it to for record keeping purposes.

You looking at something like these?

Anker has their variation too. Might look at Amazon. Sometimes Aliexpress has deals

Flying though complicates it a bit. The airlines banned Lifep04 stored in checked in luggage and I don't believe you can have larger than 160Wh units. Which is what like a 43,000+- mAh unit?
The Ecoflow page has a few options in that arena.
They would be carry on easy enough. Providing TSA isn't having a bad day.

I am not a fan of the portable solar panels, but you can find them about the size of a briefcase ish, or less. May not be a lot of wattage, but it offers a bit of independence for charging small devices like the power banks.
This would be fine for phones or tablets but not much else.
