It would actually be easier for coders to create the ability to map your custom controllers instead of doing baked in controls for dozens of different HW.
 
Waiting for more post release vids. Looks like fun, never played any Forza games before and I like the open world stuff but want a good driving experience. Last fun driving game I played was Dirt 2, and before that NFS5 Porsche Unleashed (upgrades counted!)

Yes. There were a couple in 4, actually. When nobody said anything I created one, but apparently somebody else had already created one without letting us know if you searched for it.

Horizon 2 was actually the first to introduce clubs. Somebody here created one in FH3 that I was a part of, as well. I was in a club with various Forza Forum members during FH2.

sounds like clubs isolated to the version.. first one in needs to make one.
 
looking really forward to see what they did with the steering wheel support. FH4 was horribad for me. I gave up trying to tweak settings and just went with the gamepad.

Played FH4 daily for over a year. Im down for FH5.

With FH4, I had gamepass, and then purchased the ultimate upgrade. Will do the same here. With gamepass, I pay $53 for the premium upgrade...as opposed to $130 for the full premium edition.

Probably a standard error box was used to let you know that you're too early with no error message to copy. Game unlocks at midnight UTC -4 in east coast USA. So 2100 PDT / 0000 EDT.

Is it releasing tonight or on the 9th? Or is Game Pass people getting it on the 9th and retail buyers can play tonight?

It does. Thats what i did and have been playing since 7:30AM EST.

My thoughts so far. I was really worried this would be another version of the previous game with a new map. I have to say they actually made some progress and good changes. The sounds are more accurate but not dead on but the sound in game is very nice. The visuals are very nice as well and since its without raytracing it really does look good and they seem to have made the cars feel less lifeless. The mexico map is also very large and over all i like it. If i had to rank the last three it would be FH5>FH3>FH4.

You do not have to change your clock on your PC. Just the region.

Zephyr might be able to help you more. at 6AM the game just continually crashed. We found out if you run it once and it crashes then release your IP and then relaunch the game and it will go in and play offline. Once you get in there and get through the prologue you can exit the game and renew your ip then relaunch the game. This may not be the case now and they might have fixed the crashing. VIP cars will come when it launches in your region. This is for PREMIUM and MS Store version only.
 
On my 8600k with a 1080ti on a 3440x1440, this runs great. Ultra settings and its smooth as butter.

but, I do have artifacting. donno if its the new drivers or the game. will reboot.

Running smooth at 12k x 2k. (similar to FH4) I tried to post a screenshot here but forums seem to have an issue with the res.

This sux i just found out tonight that game pass unlocks on the 9th!! I was all setup an ready to go tonight! I'll join the club as soon as mine unlocks. Is anyone useing a wheel if so can we get some thoughts on it. An to the person above that did upgrade an has game pass do you know what happens if you let the gamepass expire but you purchased the upgrade? I'm jonesing to play an im not even a horizon fan i just wanna collect cars an customize them lol!

Gamepass gives you the base game. So if you buy the premium upgrade and have the game via game pass and cancel gamepass you loose the base game.
 
So it looks like the VIP pass and Welcome Pack are showing pre-order until the 8th. I'm guessing we're not going to get that stuff until then in game?

NM, looks like I just needed to keep playing to get things to start showing up.
