Vizio 65" P65-F1 $899 shipped (It's Back) Best Buy

Went from a low end Samsung to this set, tweaked a couple settings and fired up some 4k HDR content on Netflix... Absolutely gorgeous picture. Very happy with this TV so far

I've got the 55" and love it. Would definitely recommend at this price and the 55 is also on sale for $650

Hmmn. Per rtings, these are terrible at upscaling. I will pass as I would probably return it almost immediately due to this

Do you only watch native 480/720 material? Their 1080 upscaling is fine, it's just lower than that it starts to fall off.

cable television is 480/720. i know quite a few of my movies are 720 and some 480 not that i can't get them in 1080 but, then again i'll be getting an OLED.

No, but alot of what I watch via cable is 480/720. I watch alot of classic movies. So this is why that selling point is an absolute must for me.

I posted this in slickdeals, but i picked up one of these P65-F1s for $899. Overall quite happy with it will try gaming on this weekend with a 1080ti to test 120hz -- but its very bright, great colors -- out of the box settings need work. My sister likes to do babylon 5 marathons on DVD and default settings looked horrid. After turning sharpness from 20 to 0 it looks about as good as her 2016 Samsung KS8500 which was a $1799 TV on sale.

I will say it doesnt really wow on me on standard cable content. Netflix, amazon, youtube 4k look amazing though. The point I am trying to make, is you could have the best TV in the world, but golden girls isn't going to blow anyones mind. I set tv to calibrated picture mode, cool colors (was very warm or yellow tint otherwise) sharpness to 0. UHD turned on, full array on, clear motion on (unless gaming)
