In theory Ray-Tracing should be perfect for multi-GPU configurations with ability to scale well with SFR (Single Frame Rendering).
Like original 3dfx cards where each GPU drew consecutive lines here RTX cards would calculate part of necessary rays on per-ray basis - which would translate to per-pixel with one ray per second.
This should give consistent scaling (as long as CPU can keep up) and no added input lag like we see with AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) making SLI actually an usable solution.
