I have a 27 inch 1440p gsync predator monitor.

I'm looking for something slightly bigger.

Looking at the dell AW3418DW, and some otherones.

That new not released yet Asus 35 inch HDR 200mhz ultrawide looks good, but I heard that price is going to be quite high.

Is there anything else currently on the market that could have HDR, Gsync, larger panel and keep somewhat reasonable price?

Speaking of gsync, did anyone went from a gsync monitor back to non-gync, is the tearing noticeable?

Right now I do:
10-20% gaming
20-40% photo work
30-40% normal office-like computing
10-20% video work

Trying to figure out if I even still need gsync.

I'd just wait until next year. There might be something that isn't pig shit by then.

Right now you have to decide where you're willing to sacrifice, there is no perfect monitor. I also think it will remain that way for at least another few years... I'd decide where you can sacrifice and see if you can fit anything in those requirements.

My current sacrifice is resolution... I did that so my GPU could keep up better anyway.... but my desktop is more like 90% gaming 10% everything else, so resolution not as critical.

Plus what worries me that these new screens won't be replacing current ones.

They will end being a new pricier tear.

In 2019 everyone will recommend waiting to nice round 2020 :ROFLMAO:

At least you'll be able to get a 4k/120hz/30"+ monitor. That's something you can swallow.

This year was just a fucking joke. FUCK 27".

with 27 4k 144hz screen costing $2000, what do you expect a 30 inch 4k 120/144 screen to cost? will be $2500-3000

right now i'm trying to decide between

Acer XR382CQK bmijqphuzx 38 fakeishHDR 75hz

or

Dell AW3418DW 34 120hz Gsync

My video card is 1080TI, I know I would loose Gsync with the Acer, but I only play games about 10-20% of time, Anyone used a Fresync monitor to play games with nvidia card? is there any noticeable issues?

Plus how is the fakeHDR on these monitors?

I expect that they'll be about the same price and the 27" ones will have gone down by then. They're already in stock and not selling right now. They're going to be trying to dump them hard within a year.

The market for them really isn't there. Almost anyone who had enough money burning in their wallets to blow on the 27" ones has enough money to buy new ones next year, and I bet they almost all want something bigger than 27".

I've bought and returned way too many displays in last 2 years only to end up with 60hz 1080p ips... just normal one (hp 27ea).
I had most of fun with 240hz gsync monitors but the image quality was sadly subpar (beyond just TN issues).

All in all, I would love to get good 240hz gsync montitor that does not look like garbage. Refresh rate this high is so nice even for just desktop and browsing

but now? Wait I guess... otherwise I would've already jumped onto something

People really should just keep buying and returning monitors until they don't suck. These shitty companies deserve to lose their hat. The level of QC that they think they can get away with is staggering.
