Will Secure Erase do anything for a drive that is TRIMmed regularly?

Referring specifically to MSI's version of secure erase, which claims to restore lost performance to SSDs. The SSD I use for games has had a heavy amount of use as I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled many hundreds of gigs the past few months, but if SE will offer no benefit I don't want to take the time which I assume would be lengthy.
 
Start by benchmarking the SSD to see if there is any performance to be gained in the first place. you have not provided literally any info on your setup other than SSD. Enable trim, setup provisioning, done. that is what I do with my Samsung ssds. There is no magic to it.

I didn't ask for magic, I asked if an SSD in a general scenario would see any gains. It's a yes or no type of question.

I gave you the general scenario for SDD. The answer is "I don't fkn know what MSI is exactly doing find performance that general maintenance and setup would not provide for an SSD other than maybe wiping it fresh and starting over".

Was that a yes or a no?
 
With short stroking and TRIM, there’s little to be gained on the newer SSDs from a SE.
First gens the diff was huge - not anymore.

Go NVMe or better yet, Optane if your SSD isn’t fast enough anymore.
