[Newegg] GTX 1080 $649

Is the crypto-run over? Hope the hell so. I don't need one right at the moment but damn those prices... :banghead:

I dont think its over , but Im hoping some of these flippers choke on the cards...
and just to clarify, if you want to buy 25 cards to mine, more power to you, but if your buying them to flip on here for a profit, I hope you lose your shirt on them.... :D

good to see close to norml prices on these cards....

Isn't that only like 50$ below the MSRP for the 1080 Ti? My friend got his 1080 for like 100-150 less than this is selling for. I guess it's less than the norm these days, but we're a long ways off... >_>

MSRP ranges from $699-1299 depending on make and model.
My GTX1080ti FTW3 has an $819.99 MSRP. I got mine for $675 shipped in November.

$549 is the starting MSRP for the 1080

Keep in mind that the MSRPs you guys remember from before have now gone up $20-$60 depending on GPU, model and manufacturer due to the increase in BOM costs for GDDR RAM as of late. For example, EVGA recently increased the MSRP for their 1080Ti SC Black Edition by $60 (was $770 now $830 in their web store). Price increases were seen recently even on low-end boards like the 1030 series, which are never used for mining or gaming for that matter! (OK, I kid, I kid, but seriously, consider a better card for gaming).

if sales are down raise the prices on everything.
video cards and memory are a fing rip off.
Ban crypto in america and see the prices of the video cards.
Of course the rich and the senators can't launder money that way, so thats not going to happen.

EDIT: Looks like it is out of stock again :(

Currently in stock. I already snagged one myself.
These prices are also futher evidence that the Pascal series is no longer being produced. It's a close out.

Mining isn't going away, nor is increased prices for RAM, and demand for cards for other purposes like deep learning.

If there is a coin crash, just wait a few months and things usually end up with another profitable coin, so it is an up and down market, and will probably continue, one day not worth mining, the next "there's gold in them 'thar video cards!"

Also the US Government has stated coin mining is here to stay, they will work to clean up the scams. That seemed to stop the drop in coin prices the last week or so.

they already have proof that coins are used to avoid taxes..
FIX IT, I am tired of tax fraud running rampant and everyone looking the other way.
