If you are the original owner, and can register within 90 days, it's better just to keep this card. PNY has a lifetime warranty to the original owner on XLR8 cards if you register in 90 days.

That's pretty much unheard of in the GPU industry these days. Keep it, mine with it for 10 years - when it dies they give you a new equitable card. I wish I would have known about this sooner. I would have only bought PNY XLR8 for my mining rigs.

A secondary owner gets no warranty benefit.

Not trying to thread crap at all but Titan XPs from Nvidia are 1100 and in stock.

I'd wager this PNY XLR8 is better than the Titan XP for longevity in mining -- and probably close in profitability.

MUCH better cooling solution on this PNY than the reference blower on the titan XP that will throttle under load. - 3 fans, lifetime warranty, 50% larger heatsink -- just runs much cooler - which will extend life. Fans can be closer to idle speeds, vs 70% on the single reference fan blower on the titan.

I have 8 of these PNY XLR8 mining and they run cool, quiet, and are very profitable. They are currently my favorite cards of the nearly 50 cards I've personally used for mining.

Oh I am sure - I am just talking for gamers - if someone wants to spend 1000 bucks for a TI to game on - you should get a xp for 1138 :) - I am all in with you on mining. Sold my gtx for 800 :D

It's not explicitly stated in PNY's graphic card warranty policy. However PNY's memory's lifetime warranty states:

"Lifetime is defined as the lifetime of the product on the market. Outdated technology is not covered by the Lifetime warranty if the item is no longer available on the market as a new product."

I have heard about that policy. You mention that it applies to their memory products, but the one for the graphics cards seems to be different, wording it as "lifetime of the original purchaser":

It would be interesting to get clarification on the issue for sure. If it is indeed truly lifetime and not an artificially limited "retail lifetime", then that's a pretty nice perk indeed.
