Capcom released an HD collection of the first three Devil May Cry games for Xbox 360 and PS3, and now, five years later, that HD rerelease is getting re-rereleased. PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC players can pick up the Devil May Cry HD Collection on March 13 for $30. The games will run at 60 frames per second.

Grab your sickest red coat and Devil Arms and get ready to hunt demons in style in Devil May Cry HD Collection, coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One both digitally and at retail on March 13, 2018! Featuring three games, silky smooth 60fps gameplay, and a wide variety of enemies, weapons and styles to experiment with, Devil May Cry HD Collection is the perfect compilation for those looking to get their stylish combat fix.

I honestly am excited for this. I recently bought the HD Collection on PS3 and I took out my PS3 just to play it, but now that this is releasing (re-rereleasing) I can put the PS3 away and buy the PS4 version. Also, it is quite difficult going back to a PS3 controller after using the PS4 one.

Honestly, I wish Capcom had released this for the Switch.

I gave the latest remake a go about a year back. It was fun. I thought the art style was pretty slick. But I never has much stake in the original series so I can't say how it compared.

I have to say that DMC 1 is the best one. The music, atmosphere is exactly perfect. Gets repetitious but it great.

DMC1 definitely has the best music and atmosphere for the series, but I think 3 is the best playing. 2 has the best Dante, even if the rest of 2 is pretty bad.

It's funny seeing all these games with claims to run at a specific frames per second. So what they really did was find the single most intense situation possible in the entire game, and adjusted the graphics until they achieved 60fps there. The rest of the game likely could run at 100+ fps, otherwise I don't know how else they would normalize fps so much. Feel free to school me if I don't know wtf I'm talking about.

They're probably targeting 60fps because that's the maximum the consoles can do thanks to the limitations of most television sets.
On the PC it could almost certainly pull 4K/100+ with the right hardware...and for all we know it might.

Game-wise, this isn't too bad of a product. It's only $30 and it includes 3 full-length games. Plus, they're mostly new for the PC. The originals came out back when Capcom's PC ports were among the worst we've ever seen. They're borderline unplayable. Yet in recent years Capcom has made a total 180. Their ports are among the best now.

Let's hope the same is true for a 16 year old game that originally came out on Playstation 2.

Let's see; 16 years...

I think we were playing Quake 2 Ground Zero, that must be why I've never heard of it. :)

Maybe even unreal Tournament...

Console ports... :)

If you have time to admire the graphics, the gameplay sucks. Or maybe I just haven't found you yet in the map...

Devil May Cry was a fun game. Will pick this up.

While were on the subject of remasters, where the heck in Resident Evil 2 Remastered at, I heard they were working on it, but haven't heard anything in almost a year about it.

I genuinely love this trend of re-mastering games. Original Deus Ex remastered would be an instant kickstarter/pre-order/purchase for me.

DMC 1: Released in 2001....

Whoa! A game that's been getting re-releases longer than Skyrim!
To be fair it’s only getting its 3rd release in 16 years as opposed to Skyrims 3rd release in 6 years. (I’m counting definitive and VR as separate releases.)

Glad these are getting a PC port. The DMC Trilogy was one of the few remaining reasons that I haven't yet sold my Xbox 360.
