So i am stuck with whats been going on with this network. Everything connects fine but computer doesnt. Has a W10 x64 installation, previous was W7 32bit (0 problems) z77e-itx realtek built onto the motherboard wifi etc...

Anyways i barely have signal in my room, if i do get a connection itll be ipv4 or ipv6 and constant drops. Also latency is @ 3K its insane. Ive cabled myself to it also and still.

Ipconfig commands have 0 effect.

Did a dns and there were inconsistencies.

I left all channels on auto. I need this issue fixeddddd cause if i cant get wifi on my computer or get a good connection, i will go APE crazy

Whats strange is everything that works w this network is getting i belive a 60ms and below.

Should i revert back to 7 but x64?

Your post is a bit incoherent, it's difficult to understand what is actually going on on your end.

Everything connects fine but computer doesnt.

What kind of devices consitiute "everything"? How far are these devices from the access point relative to the computer (closer or farther)?

Is this a 5Ghz or a 2.4Ghz connection? How many walls between your computer and the access point?

Ive cabled myself to it also and still.

Can you clarify this? Are you saying that you ran an Ethernet cable instead of using wireless, yet the problem persisted? If so, it's pretty clear that this is not a wireless issue, so not sure why you would put "N600" in the topic. Again, clarification needed.

Ipconfig commands have 0 effect.

What exactly did you try and what was the result? Are you not getting an IP from the DHCP server?

Did a dns and there were inconsistencies.

What sort of inconsistencies? Are you using an internal DNS (192.168.1.1, etc) or do all clients use an external DNS directly?

I left all channels on auto.

Are you talking about 2.4 or 5Ghz? Do you live in a rural home or a crowded apartment building? How many other access points do you have nearby? What bandwidth are you attempting to use? (20Mhz, 40Mhz, etc)

Should i revert back to 7 but x64?

I wouldn't. Better to just get to the bottom of what the problem is. If it's insurmountable, then maybe consider an OS downgrade.

A Powerline wired+wireless set is what you need IF you don't have wire run and you don't have a good signal to your room.

Here are a couple different ones that would do the job.

This one has 3x Gigabit ports on the side that would be in your room.

This one only has 1x gigabit port on the side that would be in your room.

I would stay away from wireless only range extenders as I have tried a few different ones in the past from different brands and they were all complete crap.

Now if you are having other issues, even when hooked up via a wired connection, then you need to fix that first.

1.What motherboard or computer brand/model do you have?

2. Have you installed the latest drivers for the wireless from the manufacturer of the wireless chipset? What wireless card do you have? (This will NOT help with signal strength).

3. Have you installed the latest driver for your wired NIC from the manufacturer of the NIC chipset?

And above all... for the most part, NEVER, EVER trust the drivers from Windows Update. They have gotten better in the past few years, but it is still a huge mess with certain driver packs being able to cause issues as bad as not letting your computer even boot into Windows.

Computer: z77e-itx using their onboard pci network card.

Theres about 4 walls.

So today i got a wrt 1900 finally good connection to the computer only in the living room, but range is still limited in my room.Nothing in the basement either. (Wireless)

If i cable myself 0 problems.

How many devices connected:

There are about 3 phones/two xboxs (upstairs & basement) ie: basement works fine for internet connection

Drivers:

All drivers were either downloaded from asrock themselves or 3rd party which didnt make a difference either.

So far we are on 2.4 as 5ghz doesnt really seemed needed but both AP are up and running.

So i might have to buy a USB N card or cable it (friend doesnt like the idea cause he hates wires and where its going to lead to)

So get one of those powerline adapters I linked. That will fix you right up without having to run any wires.

So i plug this into my outlet and run the wire from that to my computer? Interesting
yep... One end plugs into the wall near the router.

Then you run a wire from the router to that unit.

Then the other unit plugs in an outlet in your room and you can either run a wire from that or use wireless as both of the ones I posted have both.

Hmm. Should a usb stick be able to work also?

Drop $100 bucks for possible internet. What is this world coming to. Cat 5 cable would be cheaper!

What do you mean by "should a usb stick be able to work also"?

Yeah, cat5 cable would be a lot cheaper and more reliable... but if you don't want it running along the floor then you would have to run it up in the attic or whatever.

Plus, with the powerline adapter, you can have wireless signal as well.

You can get cheaper powerline adapters that don't include wireless... just not that much cheaper if you want "gig" speeds. You really just have to look at reviews to see how fast these units can actually go. Electrical noise is a speed killer.
