Fury X Benchmarked @ 4K (via AMD)

Do these cards have HDMI 2.0?
I saw something that they are only 1.4? Thats what the amd rep said on overclock.net at least.

If this cant do 4k60hz thru hdmi its kinda a deal breaker for me as I want to get a 4k tv for gaming.

Let's wait for the final reviews. Also a fair comparison would be if both cards are water cooled and run at 300W TDP.

Benchmarks from the horse's mouth with no details?

Yeah... I'll wait for the [H] review ;).

It's a kick in the nuts to those 4k gamers with a large TV that this doesn't include HDMI 2.0. Did AMD give an explanation as to why besides "DP is better, deal with it?" I imagine that quite a large portion of 4k gamers do so on large televisions, where DP is an extremely rare occurrence.

Im curious if you can use a display port to hdmi adapter and get 4k60 and 4:4:4 color. Either way im gonna need some sort of adapter to run dual link dvi.

For the last few weeks: "If Fury X is so fast, why doesn't AMD release benchmarks?"
Today: "Can't trust these benchmarks they are from AMD."

gg internet.

will be a tough launch for nvidia fanboys and anyone who wasted $1000 on a titanx

for the rest of us the competition is going to be awesome and amd trouncing nvidia's best card will mean better prices for us all

So, as expected, it looks like from these benches Fury X is about 5-6% faster than 980 ti at stock so should about equal Titan X.

They also hint once again that Fury X should overclock like a house on fire.

Nice.

A 275W TDP card with a 500W cooler? I agree. I'm excited to see how far this card can be overclocked. Hopefully good competition with AMD will stop NVIDIA creeping in more and more monopolistic behaviors in the future.

Interesting that a 9.5% core overclock is only yielding 4.5%-5.7% of a performance increase...
Could it be bandwidth bottlenecked?

Youre getting a little ahead of yourself there sparky. No one is going to lower the prices on newly released cards. If you want a good deal then get a GTX980.

Overclocking/performance results are never linear, but yeah, would have expected more there.

gtx980 is the worst value in gaming currently. 500 dollar mid range card. it's laughable.

thats hardly midrange.
GTX 980 is a $400 card.
390X is a $350 card.
390 is a $250 card.

Why is the world the way that it is? This stuff is way too expensive. I guess we blame 28nm now.

The only two cards on the market that matter, which are NOT EOL, are the 970 and 980 Ti. Everything else is crap.
AMD killed the 280X, the only card they had that was worth its cost. Can't believe I just said that.

whats the source on thses?

w3 numbers look sweet.

Thats what i get on ultra on 1080p with my vapor-x

lol

Not having HDMI 3.0 for my future non-existent 16k display is a deal breaker for me.

Nice find. Now we just need complete system specs :p.

Why turn AF off? I thought AF has been pretty much a free image quality enhancement for the past decade...

That is strange as well since Fiji should have a decent texture fill advantage.

The Samsung line is pretty much the best 4k/60hz PC display option right now and is HDMI 2.0 only.
You can use an adapter if 2 0 is that important to you, if you don't want to hassle with an adapter:
Then don't buy it.
They won't miss you.

What do you expect. If AMD doesnt release benchies then half the forum cries out saying that AMD has nothing.

If benchmarks do leak then same thing repeats but this time the leaks are obviously "BS".

Fastest single core card in the world, Fury - Check.
Buying once its out - Check
:D

Playing at 120hz on viewsonic VX2268 -not check. Looks like that monitors dual link dvi only, you could get an adapter but then you wont be pushing 120hz.

I'd like to see some OC'ed Fury X's. Also wonder how they do in Xfire.
