According to this Craigslist ad, a "well known worldwide internet reseller of computer cooling and mod gear" is liquidating its inventory. We have no confirmation that the company behind this ad is indeed FrozenCPU but, if it isn't, the similarities are remarkable. Thanks to Wizard220 for the heads up.

Looks legit. Their site says at the bottom,

Site down until further notice
February 21, 2015
FrozenCPU.com will not be taking new orders or processing pending orders for at least the next 30 days. We currently are attempting to hire new staff to get things moving again. We apologize for this inconvenience. - Mark Friga Jr.

Since that was almost three months ago, it's probably a safe bet they never got things moving again. Shame... I bought from them quite a bit back in my liquid cooling days and always had a good experience.

Guess they can't convince anyone to update their site to sell it off then.

Real sad... for the community. It seems like the owner caused his own misfortune.

this the one where the owner went apeshit on dope and tore up the office?

Im in Syracuse... time to slide over to Rochester and see if I can score some deals. Sad

Wow. Same town they are based out of and everything. However, what is listed on this craigslist ad is only a glimpse at the total amount of product that Frozen CPU sold. I see no mention of their watercooling gear which was likely a good chunk of their money.

Yeah, strange that things such as radiators/waterblocks are missing from that listing.Either way, very, very likely that it's FrozenCPU.

The reason why I got into the software side of computing and not hardware.

Slim Profits. Any slow down and the business has to shut down.

My friend pulled the trigger on water cooling early december. I put the build list together for him and got the parts mid december. I'm wearing FrozenCPU shirt right now haha.

So close to being during the fall of the site. My friend would have killed me if 500 USD had been held up in this shit.

I'm from Fredonia NY and was thinking the same thing, sadly it looks like they want to sell everything to a single person.

The ad says there is a 13 page excel spreadsheet listing everything that is available to serious buyers.

This soap opera wont be complete till it turns out this craigslist ad was by someone else and they just take a crowbar bust into the frozen cpu place and let a bunch of random craigslisters in.

Wow, an old VoodooPC case, I used to love that company until a but before they sold out to HP, and their forums were great as well.

Christ, the grammar in my last post. Yeah, that's the pre-buyout Omen I'm pretty sure. It's in near perfect condition(a small scratch in the back) but the lights and springs for the DVD trays all still work. Still a huge great case, just wish the back had more room.

He paid a very pretty penny for it. The problem with it is the only radiator that fits inside is a slim 240, so a maxed out 980 SLI + 4970k build probably won't work.

I would imagine you could find quick buyers for some of the easier to move stuff like the majority of the water cooling gear. likely liquidating all the stuff that has already been pawed over multiple times by others and just didnt get moved.

I started cleaning out my computer graveyard and found my Omen this past weekend, I still love the case, the thick black aluminum panels contrasted nicely with the red interior. Somewhere in the back the graveyard is my old Egad, mine was actually the one they pictured on their website as it was the first one with the red powercoated interior, windowed side panel and the tornado top (blow hole) and of course the GF3 cards were delayed so they had it an extra week or two.

Actually, from following this whole drama I don't think he sold off anything.

He posted on the store's Facebook page on March 20 of this year that they would be reopening the checkout on the website, as well as went on a rant about a Sheriffs deputy.

You should check it out, it's good for a laugh it has gems like:
FCPU re-opens this week if only to raise funds to take legal action against the crooked law enforcement.

Too bad about Frozen.
The Craigslist location sure is legit.

Rochester is only 2 hours from my door, but I sure don't need a bulk buy.

Too bad.

Yeah, wish he would sell it off via a yard sale at the store, it's only a couple hours from me as well and I would definately make the drive.

FrozenCPU is liquidating? Does that mean we should start calling it MeltedCPU? :D

+1 to you good sir! :D

So does someone want to share the "melt down the owner had?"

Would appreciate the back story on all of this

and let's not forget these:

The last one shows the custom test bench Mnpctech made for them

sad....it's been a while since I bought stuff from them though...probably not since...2005?

I agree, I haven't purchased much from them but I am planning my fist custom loop for later this summer so that would have changed shortly.

Frozen CPU is in east rochester, not Pittsford?
I live in Rochester, so I'm going to nip over there tomorrow and see whats up.
Per google maps:
"Address: 311 E Chestnut St, East Rochester, NY 14445"

Yeah, but considering all of drama of FrozenCPU and this:
A local well known worldwide internet reseller of computer cooling and mod gear is liquidating its entire inventory at its Pittsford, NY location

So unless the Rochester area is ripe with "well known worldwide internet reseller of computer cooling and mod gear," then I think it would be safe to say this is FrozenCPU's inventory.

Time to take a ride on over to their warehouse during drill weekend as our reserve building is about 4 miles away :D

humm I would check to see if they declared bank before buying incase it was stuff that was seized or supposed to be seized... it might be the guy just needs money and their stuff was really nice at one point I have had several sleeved power supplies until the current got to the point I did not want anyone messing with the unit. I remember getting larger fans cc lights and stuff that worked for years.

Damn, I was really hoping they'd get their shit together. Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy watercooling and mod supplies now? All the places I used to shop over the years have gone under.
