I guess NCIX selling anything at MSRP is noteworthy? Every time I've gone there looking for this monitor it has been listed at $860+ US.

7 left as of 15:24 EST. Exact price listed is $799.98.
I was referring to this being in the "[H]ot|DEALS" section of the forum when this isn't really a "hot" deal. The master thread in the Displays forum is usually updated when people see it's in stock somewhere. So something that is usually oos is cheaper and in stock and you don't understand the noteworthiness of the post? rofl
Mine just came in from TD and I'm loving it. You can use http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/monitors/asus/ and find them in stock rather easily.
I been using that site for about a month and I'm just not quick enough lol . But reading on some other sites and on the Asus rog fourms has made me a bit worry about the issues.
whats more interesting, people are paying $800+ for a 27 inch monitor...
They have a thing where it will text you when it becomes available. Thats how I got mine.
The monitor is seriously amazing, its pretty much impossible to go back to life without gsync.
What other 27" monitor with 144Hz can you get for $600? (G-SYNC adds $200 to the price of a monitor.)
That is Acer's answer to the RoG Swift, and with an IPS screen, it will probably be priced even higher than $799.
If you just want a 27" 144Hz panel there are quite a few options, and ALL of them cheaper than $600. In fact Asus' own VG278HE retails for just $369 on Amazon, less than half of what the ROG Swift costs.
It's actually the 144Hz @ 1440p that's the main selling point for the ROG Swift. Of course being the only panel of its kind there's a significant premium, which could be stomached if not for the numerous QA issues with the panel.
B&H lowered their price to retail. They formerly were gouging for $1,075.00.
Yeah, I was disappointed to see them price gouging a few months back at that price. They have some in stock right now at $966.00 (still too high).
Acer scares me whenever they try anything new. I had the GD235hz which was the first 120hz 1080p lcd display and it was by far the worst monitor that I've ever used. From what I heard the 27" 120hz (also first on the market) was loaded with issues at launch.
I wouldn't get my hopes up about that Acer.

You do realize that was a budget priced panel right when 120hz tech was coming about.. like 4+ years ago.. this is nothing like that
Worst monitor??? I'm still rockin my GD235hz in my signature until I get my Rog Swift.
It was the first 120hz 1080p LCD display on the market. I don't think that a $400 1080p tn is exactly a budget display either.
