Diablo 3 Discussion Thread

My HC seasons crusader has officially turned into a 'zoosader'. I found the shield that grants double Phalanx summons and the ring with 200% more Phalanx time (pets stay out the entire time). The results are pretty hilarious - this is like playing a witch doctor.

Can't get the ring or the flail but it looks like ridiculous fun. One of the other sader I run with in the guild uses stampede and it works great with the archers. Would love to finish this build.

I haven't found a Baleful yet, I'm using a Butchers Cleaver that rolled near perfect stats for now. So everything I do has ridiculous Butcher yells. :D

A lot of us have, yes. It really hasn't taken long to gear up a few characters already, which is nice. I hadn't touched barb since RoS launched and I already have a leapquake barb, a decently geared zoosader, etc.

It's amazing how fast you can gear up now, my season DH is better than my non-season DH in 100 fewer paragon levels. Just need that SoJ and Kridershot to drop

Etrayu all the way! Can't beat the 20% cold damage

I like the Kridershot because then I get to do something, but yeah. I have an Etrayu but I need a gift and even then the rolls on it don't beat my crafted Unbound even with 16% additional cold. I lose 10% sheet dps and I've read that 20% elemental = about 10% dps gain in frost/fire M6 builds. so my 16% would be about an 8% gain.

Here's a good read on M6 I came across if anyone is interested, I'm surprised that his results show Multishot doing the most damage in M6 until you hit the higher BPs. http://www.reddit.com/r/riokou/comments/2fiiwd/d3_dh_m6_theorycrafting_indepth/

That one is better for a pet doctor. Reroll dexterity into a socket and use the enforcer gem. Physical is pretty useless for a DH and 6% CC over main stat.

Ok, so Physical is not good at all for a DH. I'll re-roll that next time I load the game.

I honestly wouldn't reroll the elemental damage. Just give it to your witch doctor.

Within a week of starting a Witch Doctor he is doing more damage than my monk which I've had for over a year LOL.

Repeat process for Demon Hunter.
(DH will pass WD within a week).

Actually less. I got 5/6 Mara pieces through Kadala in less than a day, crafted the Arcane crossbow, and boom, done. Better than WD. :/

edit: Craft Aughild's, Shoulder Chest Bracers.
Craft Cain's, boots pants.

Then if you get a Blackthorne belt, pair it with the necklace for 2pc.
Roll your shards on helm for Mask of Jeram then roll for gloves for tnt. Then roll Mojo/Boots/Chest for Zuni.

What are the drop rate of that item that gives socket to weapons?

I've been looking for one forever to socket my dagger....

http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Deluded-1546/hero/51857207

Already my WD outstrips my non-season WD that does T5-T6, and I don't even have TnT or TMF.

Terrible drop rate for the Gift to add Sockets. I've found one going from Paragon 315 to 410. You are better off rolling one of the stats into a socket

Also Gidbinn is terrible, don't waste a Gift on that! Look for a good Rhen'ho Flayer, Doombrimger, or Thunderfury. Or get lucky and find a Starmetal Kukri, best weapon for a WD, pretty rare though.

I didn't see a Gift until paragon level 120 or so, when I got 2 of them off back-to-back tier 1 grift guardians (was just doing some quick runs hoping for gear). I've since found 3 more: one from a random white enemy and two from random piles of bones/rocks. So far I've used them on a Fury of the Vanished Peak, a Maximus, a Heart Slaughter, and a Sun Keeper. Not sure what I'll use the next one on.

Mask of Jeram is fuckin AMAZING.

My little fetish dudes are critting for 10mil on average up to 27mil now. Just finished a grift 29 with a group. Highest I've done yet.

Pet doctors are amazing vs single targets, but still a little bit iffy on the mobs. Also T5 onward the pets die a little bit too fast. Other than that, I feel like it's one of the quickest classes that gets you to the higher torments.

I could see how they end up dying easily. I swapped out Fetish Army for Locust Swarm as I didnt have a mana spender before. Seems to work way better, Fetish Army cooldown felt like it took forever. I still have the Fetish passive on so it works well.

Also, got my 4th piece of Blackthorns. Elites are a piece of cake now, unless its lightning.

The only reason you should ever use FA is either with Zuni or SMK.
If you have neither then replace it with something else...

The only spender you should use is Piranhas.
Take some combination of BBV/WP (with GI) or Dogs. If all else fails use Soul Harvest for the 10% DPS increase...

It's over 8 seconds... which is 130% weapon damage per second.
In your case you could replace Locust with Dogs and do more damage.

After the patch, I found pets died too quickly. It got worse in greater rifts. The Enforcer gem fixes that. My pets now outlast me on 35+ gr. F-in jailor, lightning, mortar combos... At 37, 1800 ar avg(lowest is like 1735), 17000 armor, 570k hp.... jailor will drop me 400k hp. A jailor/lightning combo will waste me...

be nice if theyd address melee in the greaters, poor sader and monk spend more time stuck in walls which just happens to be where arcane spawns or running 3 rooms over to get away from arcane crap

DH i just vault around and poop turrets to do all my dirty work lol

NA servers lagged out last night, they're lagging out again right now.
Warning to HC players. :p

It's not totally frozen though, I managed to walk away from the mobs and TP out.

Wow what happened to the hardcore community in D3? I hadn't played in a while and when I logged onto my lvl 70 hardcorecharacter, there were only a total of 4 players in public games. Did the entire hardcore community move onto seasonal ladders?

still alive and kicking. I actually left the HOCP clan because nobody that played HC was ever on. I'm playing with another clan that only plays HC. I even had a death and was rushed back to 70 in a little over an hour by a group of them. I'm able to run T4 games now, hoping to get get to T6 death dealing status soon.

What class? I take it is must not be Witch Doctor? All of their' Fetish pets can get one shot in 31/32+ GRifts. This pushed me over to play a Crusader...

what's the secret to getting a specific item drop?

Play the game until it drops. Play with other people of the same class to help out your chances. And in some cases, play a different class that has a higher chance of a specific drop (for example a Furnace will drop more for a Barbarian than a Crusader...)

what's the secret to getting a specific item drop?

Not sure what you are asking but cache legs to drop it's just grind the appropriate act bounties for that cache item... for an item that just drops randomly it's either grind, grind, grind or gamble with Kadala and pray to the gods of RNG...

well, it would be that everything else is random. right?

Join the "Bounty Runz" community in game and play for an hour or two. People split up and each running Bounties, then they help each other once they finish the once they were working on. You will have a pile of caches, and each one will have a 50%+ change of having a Legendary item in it (on T1). If you can get up to T6, every single cache will have a legendary in it. It won't take long for a RoRG.

So I joined a public game and someone got pretty pissed at me for opening a rift...I didn't know you were supposed to choose one of the drop down options now. Must be some regular mode shit.

That's been there for awhile. It really helps when you're looking to play a specific game type.

Don't join a bounty game and open a rift :p

Not going to lie, I'm not uber geared so I'd rather not be slowed down killing stronger mobs and not getting more loot or increased MF from the group.

So leveled up my wizard from 60 to 70 and in half the time clearing content so much easier than my crusader. Elemental damage gear ftw apparently. Also found an extremely fun staff, increases meteor damage 30% and decreases it's cost by 40%. Between that and Cindercoat, I run meteor with no runes and can spam it nearly non-stop. Melts face pretty well.

This is actually pretty dumb on Blizzards part. The current setting for what type of game you will be joining isn't displayed on the screen when you actually click Join Game.
