There are several metrics here including exclusives, sales, online, etc.
There are no stipulations, just go with your gut.
I will say that I am glad to see Sony putting out more titles for the PS3 and sticking with what works for them. They have had an amazing year of exclusives already with GT6, Puppeteer, and Beyond: Two Souls still coming to the system later this year.
IIRC Microsoft has all but abandoned the 360 with just Gears coming out earlier this year and nothing serious on the calendar.
Over the last 6-7 years I have played the PS3 the most followed by the 360. My 360's got the most play earlier on this generation until Sony started pulling away and third party games started to be closer to the 360 versions (2009-2010?). Both consoles got a ton of use but overall I feel the PS3 gave me the overall more enjoyment with its variety of exclusives. I feel that Uncharted 2 was the turning point for me, it was a generation defining game that couldn't be played anywhere else. Before Uncharted 2 my PS3 was a Bluray player and almost all of my playtime was with the 360.
I still have my Wii but it has been in a closet for years with only a few days at most of playtime. Dolphin pretty much had me give the platform up because of its superior qualities.
