Mounting video cards vertically

I just purchased a SilverStone FT03 in where the video cards are mounted vertically. I was wondering if this caused any issues on cards with heat pipes - if the vertical orientation prohibited the conduction of the liquid.

Any tests ran on this?

I have a RAVEN RV02 which has the vertical mounting design and I think it is great.

Besides good cooling a great benefit is that the graphic cards hang nice an plumb and don't get alot of stress on the PCB. Great design.

And you never noticed any sort of rise in temps from you graphics card or anything (assuming it has heat pipes and you had it mounted horizontally at one point)?

Thanks, guys.

I've loved the FT02 since it came out, but because of all the mixed responses regarding the effectiveness of heat pipes in vertical orientation I've steered clear of it.
