I was wondering, do most of the higher-end vCenter cloud deployments have totally separate storage servers from the hypervisors? For example multiple iSCSI storage units, and separate ESXi's. I assume that would be the proper way.
However, is it OK to use one large 24TB datastore that exists on one of the multiple ESXi machine as both MAIN storage and hypervisor, 8-10 Gigabit ports. Or strictly a bad idea.
