Serious Sam 3 delayed until 11/22

NICE! Now with BF3 needing a million things before it's ready for prime time, and Serious Sam 3 being delayed, I may actually get A's during this fall semester.

That does suck. I'd rather get a good game in the end though.

Right! I was in law school when Half-Life 2 came out and it was a nightmare!

I would never ask a company to rush a title. Especially considering whats come out this year. Half the titles really could a simmered for another few months.

its nice to see a company actually listen to the people alpha/beta testing their game. so i don't mind it being delayed to fix things customers/gamers have mentioned needing to be fixed.

I'm all for delaying a game a month or three for polish and fixes. We all know a lot of games that could have used that but were kicked out the door too early.

That's great news, it sounds like the little delay was well founded and will give us an actual "finished game". I didn't think they made those anymore.

This is one of the few games I've been looking forward to this holiday season.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What will I do until then???????????? Something stupid like work?????

I'm a bit leery of putting all my eggs in the Steam basket. But since I own SS FE and SE in HD, I get that discount.

GOOD!

It obviously needed delaying to fix stuff, given the alternative which could be as bad as the Rage release it's absolutely the right thing to do. Release when you're ready and not when some arbitrary deadline says so.

Are the graphics supposed to be any better than Serious Sam HD?

This is just from what I read, but can't remember where............
The HD versions are the old games put on the 3.0 engine. The SS BFE to be released in Nov will be on the 3.5 engine. I'm not sure if that means anything to us or not. It could be all behind the scenes refinements

I agree that a finished gamed, delayed is a better buggy game now.

It's a Steamworks game, so you don't have a choice. No matter where you buy it from, you'll need to use Steam.

Not directed at you but:

This is perfectly ok for a lot of people even on third party titles but somehow if Origin or anyone else does it, too, it's the end of the world.

Amazing.

I honestly hate steamworks. That's a story for another time, though.

It's perfectly okay for a few reasons:
1) I'd rather consolidate all my games within a single service. Steam is the oldest and the best, and I'm most invested in it. Having to use other services for other games is an inconvenience.
2) Steamworks has more features than other services such as Games for Windows Live or Origin integration, so if a game must require one of those services, I'd rather it be Steam.
