There are a couple convention centers here in Chattanooga and I'd be happy to help get things set up even passing out flyers to the local Gamestops and such. But honestly Atlanta or Nashville would be better I suppose for a southern show since they're twice the size of Chattanooga and it would be easier to draw a bigger crowd.

I'd vote nashville, much easier going metro than ATL is.

Chicago would definitely be awesome specially during the summer.

This. Make it so

CHICAGO!!!!

Why not have one at their San Jose campus? I remember going to an AMD Experience event there.

San Francisco, although I would hate driving in to the city. Maybe a little bit outside of San Francisco.

San Francisco Bay Area aka Silicon Valley - yeah, I'd try to come to that.

Do it. Only makes sense to come back to the Silicon Valley be it San Jose or San Francisco. Make it happen!

Either Cleveland or Columbus! I'm not all that far from either, I do know that a few of us on here are from around this area.

Secaucus, NJ has a good convention center with free parking. It's minutes from NYC. They used to have really good "computer shows" there.

Kyle , I will help you out.

North Jersey

10 minutes from NYC and there are 7 hotels and a bunch of other stuff for people to do

http://www.harmonmeadow.com/pages/plazameadowpage.html

Alot of cons have come here and it seems to work out well and you can avoid the high prices of NYC. You can get a nice hotel room here for $70-$120 a night , in nyc the same rooms would go for 300+

+1 To this idea, Scratch what I said before. BTW I live in north Jersey too :D

That's the same one I was talking about. That's 3 geeks for the same venue. You've got to do it in NJ, Kyle.

thanks for the support.

They have a brand new movie thearter , great resturants , ton of shopping. You can grab a bus for $2 bucks to get into the city and see a show or just hang out. It takes about 10 minutes to get into the city from Secaucus.

The greater area for those who drive we have one of the biggest malls in the country 15 minutes from here (garden state plaza ) along with a bunch of other malls , good shopping , laser tag / kart racing places.

Depending on when you do this the new mega mall xandu or spirit of america or whatever they call it will be open with its own ski slope. We also have giant stadium or whatever its called now 10 minutes away so you can catch a game depending on the time of year or a concert.

Its really a great area and alot of people can make a weekend out of it instead of just coming for a day event.

+ 1000. It's a happening place. Just a few miles from there on Rt 3 West is one of the largest Barns and Noble I've ever seen. With restaurants all around it.

And for the 6 weenies that voted No, surrender your geek permits. They are hereby revoked.:D

Sounds like Secaucus, New Jersey is the ideal spot then. Worst comes to worst, you can drop off the "Loyal Opposition" at the mall for them to run amok :D

I'd say come to Aiken, SC but that would be silly. If you can get to Atlanta, GA, that would be awesome though...

I missed the Dallas event, but why not take the show on the road? AMD could use the publicity, and no doubt el jefe could write off the travel expenses...

We have alot of secret gamers in South Florida that I am sure would love to come to a convention like in Miami or something near. Our city is just mostly known for clubbing and beaches :/ We love our video games and geek tech too damnit!

Chantilly, VA?

You've got IAD and the Dulles Expo center located within a short distance (~5 - 6 miles).

That barnes and noble is at clifton commons .

Clifton Commons has a 16 screen AMC thearter , chevy's resturant , some italian place , shannon rose (irish pub and resturant) , applebeese , sports athurity , barnes and noble as you say , super target and stop and shop. Across the highway is another small strip mall with unos , gamestop , chipotlie , star bucks and a bunch of other places. A little further up we have smash burger , tgif , zinburger , moe's , cupcakes , cups and other things. There is also a microcenter 10 minutes from the area.

Then once again there is paramus up 17 which is about 10 minutes away and it has 3 large malls

Would you guys come to mah little city of 27,000? I'm about 50-60 miles north of Chicago.

Heres hoping for some midwest love. Nothing ever happens here. Would love to have it happen some place in Iowa but who I am kidding. Its Iowa

I think a mash up with PDXLan would be pretty stellar

As much as I would like to see it a bit further north and east... this makes sense. Portland is a good sized town, lots of flights in - I5 and I90 bring traffic it from all points. May limit the number of participants a bit - but it's a good thought.

@ eastmen I was slightly joking. Last year I went to Myrtle Beach and I think about a third of our toll costs came from going through Jersey is all.

That PDXLan looks pretty sweet. Comparing that to the PAX East even I went to back in March PDX makes the PAX East one look like a poor man's LAN.

I live in the middle of all that. It's awesome.

4get PDXLan, I can do that for free.

After 40 LAN/Gaming events you would think I could do it ;P

I would love to put this event on the road, the last two have been a blast.
