I had a cheap standard case, and got bored the other day. Thought about making it work like a Silverstone Raven. So i go the cutting tools out striped my pc, and started cutting. Sorry for the low quality pics, took them with my phone.

This is waht it looked like before i started

This is the case all cut and redesigned.

And now with everything wired and ready to close up.

I made the new face out of ABS sheeting, and covered it in black vinyl

Made a cover also out of ABS, just need to get some mesh to cover the vents and it be done!

My pc runs cooler now and is quieter, and in my opinion looks soooo wicked now :)

Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P
AMD Phenom II x 2 550 unlocked to 3 cores runnning at 3.5ghz
4gb Apacer DDR3-1333MHz
Gigabyte GTX560ti SOC
2tb, 1tb, & 320gb Seagate Hard Drives
AmacroX AX700-88FE Power Supply
3 Coolermaster 120 blue led fans

cool idea. looks like decent execution but hard to tell from those crappy pics. put up some higher quality/smaller size pics!

Aww, isn't that just cute.:D

That kitty cat had an AMD 1 ghz Thunderbird proc and was upgraded from Matrox Millenium SLI'd with 3dfX to the first NVIDIA GeForce 256 . . .
I modded the side with holes for the tons of fans I zip tied and hot glued in there

I used to see those cases at the computer shows in NJ and thought they were ridiculous. To each his own, I guess. I'm glad you graduated to much more grander things. Your current work is off the hook!!!

I did that build because my wife is a veterinarian

yeah my wife is rockin' a fully optioned out Mac Book Air now too. But I'm not hating. Though that thing costs more than I have calculated for my new rig.

I am thinking about making new tablet pc that sits inside breast implants

Here's my file server at home. Currently it holds 6 1TB Barracuda drives in Raid 6.

Operating system is openfiler 2.3 which runs on a usb thumbstick connected to the back of the computer. I did this so it saves me from using a sata port that can be used for an actual drive. Since these intial pics I've added 2 Promise sata controllers to it recently to up the expansion by 8 drives for a total of 14.

The intial array is 6 1TB drives, in future array's I will use 2TB drives. I've also done a photoshop template to get arnold etched onto the glass of the Corsair Obsidian. I've attached that image as well. Will try to do this in the next month or so and will add pics. The only difference from the arnold pic to the psd file is that I've added in the word "ARNOLD" in his sunglasses in the pic. Looks quite pimp.

Since the pic I've changed all sata cables to black to match the case better. I pre purchased all the cables so I have 14 Black ones. I've named the server. Arnold.

SO MUCH EMPTY SPACE! just out of curiosity, why did you decide to use such a big case if youre putting so little into it? and 850W? youll probably pull 400W max. got other plans for it in the future or something?

nah, he just wants to make the rest of us drool over that case. "oh hey guys check out my $275 super awesome full tower case that I'm using to put my file server in." seriously though, that is a sexy case, and I'm going to use the same one to house my extremely retarded build when I get out of college. :D

I think it's a great idea to buy a huge case that you can fit more into as time goes on. Instead of buying a new, bigger case for each build as it gets progressively more complicated, just have the case part down on day one lol

haha, i actually went the other way for my gaming rig. full tower rosewill>midtower lian li>matx bgears cube case>homemade mitx tiny case. granted, i had to build a second itx case to house my storage, but its in the living room so nbd.

Well I will need the extra space for more drives. I have six already, tops 4 more can fit in the top bays. So I'll need to come up with a custom solution for the rest of my drives. I wanted to allow lots of growth for later. I could even add another promise card and fit more hard drives as well.

Here's my Sandy Bridge build: sorry for the messy wiring but there is absolutely no room for cable management in a Silverstone TJ10

Just finished with the paint job on my Antec DF-35 case.

I took out all the white 120mm fans and replaced them with red LED ones. I custom painted my Corsair ram cooler to match the cases color scheme. This case doesn't really have cable routing holes so i made some to make a cleaner installation. I have a few other additions for the future but the bulk is done. I'm thinking about installing some red LED's in the top SSD slot so it glows when nothing is there.

The specs are in my sig for rig 1.

New Case is Fractal Design R3 in Arctic White, ITS AMAZING! It's so beautiful .

Please excuse crappy pics, and a few messy wires. If you have any tips for me to improve my cable management with a non-modular power supply, please let me know :)

There's a fractal design gallery where you can see how people did it with the same case, and maybe get some ideas (as well as contributing your own pics):

Just wow lol. If i were to meet you on the streets, I'd slap you. You have all the cable management in the world, and your rig looks like its been home to rodents.

Tips:

1).If there is a grommet perpendicular to where you need to connect your cables. Use that one.
2).I don't even want to know what that wire coming OUT of your case is for.
3).Run your cables COMPLETELY vertical, or COMPLETELY horizontal. NOT diagonal.
4).Run your usb/hdaudio/1394 down and behind the mother board.
5).Lastly, just remember the less you see of a cable, the more attractive it looks.

to be fair it looks like that one coming out of the case goes to the side panel for a side panel case fan. but yeah other than that it could use a lot of work. post more pics once you try to hide some more wires!

Yeah it's for the side panel fan, half the cables for the power supply arent really long enough to be able to do some nice cable management

i7 2600k (4.0 right now...120mm fan had to be moved to the side to make it fit between ram and side panel)
MSI p67a-g45 (b3)
8 gb ddr3-1600 (2x4gb corsair)
5770
hx650
1.5 tb seagate
lian li pc-60fnw with all noctua fans

Finally got tired of my little mATX coolermaster. Went to a Xigmatek Utgard. This case is fantastic for $59.99 on newegg. Tons of room and great features. Built in 6 channel fan controller, 2 eSATA up front and 4 front USB. Also comes with 3 fans which was a plus for me. Although the 170mm up top is a little odd to me, since I've never had anything but 80mm and 120mm. Sorry for the off-center and grainy pictures. All I have is a 5mp point and shoot.

I figured since all the upgrades are almost done it's about time to show my humble rig
