Beautiful setup yenniedn!

I think I need to redo my cable management, guess I didnt think to hide those PCI-E cables behind like that... Most other pics I have seen on FT-02 builds have those things just out there like mine, but yours, I kind of just did a face palm when I saw it.^_^ Now if only I could get rid of that ugly ribbon I have for my ancient X-fi Fatality card, it just keeps kicking and I really dig the front I/O panel.

What did you do with the rear speakers for Z-5500s? I used to have the same set, but never really took advantage of it due to lack of space, as you can see I live in a very small apartment.

Lastly, I want your monitors and chair, loving the orange even though it would clash with everything in my apartment, its just awesome!

How could you not love ORANGE?!?! It's my favorite color and it was an added bonus that the Embody was available in orange as an option. I even painted my office to match since I had to wait something like two months for it to get delivered!

I actually bought a couple of nice Belkin PureAV 12 or 16ft DVI cables but never put them to use because the keyboard and mouse cables are only so long and would need extensions too. By then you're looking at an even bigger mess of cables. The way the room and desk is set up, there just aren't that many other places to put the tower. I'd have to give up one of the monitors for a better place for the CPU - and I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon.

Thanks - I spend a lot of time at my desk so I figured I'd set it up to get the most enjoyment/productivity out of it. Previously we had a much more expensive (but useless) Ethan desk and chair to match the other decor but I got rid of it because it was totally cramped and unusable. All those Galant pieces cost me next to nothing and work so much better.

The rear speakers are totally out of place (on the shelves behind me to the right out of the photos) - there's no place for me to put them that would make sense right now. I could get stands for them but the kids would constantly knock them over.

The FT02 has been great to work with but it was the $2 purchase of the cable clamps for the back side that really helped to clean everything up. As for the X-Fi ribbon, I've had some of them with the front drive bay but found that I never used it to connect anything to so I promptly moved away from them. As you know, they are great for cluttering up the inside of your case.
 
Haha, I went with the Gray/Black Embody... but I'm glad I did... it's so nice having an almost perfect chair when you're going to be sitting around programming for 6-8 hours a day, sometimes more.

It's also pretty cool our school actually went out and bought Herman Miller chairs for the big computer lab with like 150-180 stations. 12 year warranties do mean they should last a while unlike the old cheap chairs that were all falling apart... Even if they do break it's covered.

I think I spent more on my chair than I did anything else on my system, but it's going to last at least 12 years and hopefully longer.

Changed my desk configuration around. Got a couple new headphones plus a DAC/amp. Shuttle is new, It will be my workhorse once I get it going with some sort of OS.

I just put a system together for a friend using the Storm Scout case, Its really nice, I'm even thinking of replacing my Lian Li with it. :eek:

How's the cooling?

Yes the color of the desk pulled me in as well. Sadly it does not match any of my other furniture!

Gaming rig is intel core 2 quad, 8 gigs of ram, and a ati card. Probably weak compared to most here but still has the power.

The server case used to be its home but it got to hot.
 
Its not much, the TV and the Monitor are really old...and the desk i found on the side of the road....

I hear ya there, i got a TV stand and a nice bed side table from in front of that guys house...the only thing missing from the desk was a shelf and they keyboard tray dosent slide right. But since it was free who gives a damn.
 
My cramped dorm room. The desktop is used for playing games, audio recording, and Solid Works Design. The Laptop holds all my media.
