This is a bit continue of another thread i made, but anywho

I need a secondary monitor, i might end up purchasing a third later on but not sure on that yet. I currently have a FS2331 that im satisfied with, and theres a deal on it for half price, so its like 300$. But the U2311H is also very cheap right now going for about only 200$.

Of course if i get the third monitor sometime i will be using eyefinity, current job now if the new monitor is to have a secondary for movie watching, checking stuff while playing games aswell as extra workspace.

Should i stick with full FS2331 setup or is the dell worth the changed looks?

Get the FS2331, the U2311H is a pos compared to it IMO. Plus the U2311H has too many quality control problems.

You sir are correct! :p

lol, sorry.

hah no problem. Didn't realise that the U2311H was a bad monitor, looking aside the QC control. But it might explain the cheaper than TN panel price it has right now. (In denmark)

If you read the U2311H thread, you'll find that buying one is a lot like playing the lottery. You may get a really nice one, but chances are you'll have to send it back 3x just to get a decent one. I had 3, they all had horrible yellow tinting that caused me to develop OCD while using them. I spent more time staring at pee yellow-white blotches then doing my work.

Other than that though, they are great monitors. I really like the OSD, form factor, stand quality, colors (when tinting wasn't visible), etc. It was a solid monitor. I can only really blame LG for making such crappy IPS panels for 75% of them.

One other note. You "MAY" not even notice tinting. I immediately saw it, but my wife couldn't see it no matter how long she looked at it. I asked my mother-in-law to take a look too and she saw it right away. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

From what I've read about the Eizo, it's a friken awesome monitor. I don't own one myself. I couldn't find it for sale anywhere. I actually have 3x Samsung F2380s. They have far better panels than the U2311Hs I owned in every way except pixel response times. I do have a bit of motion blur when certain colors (like when I scroll through black and grey rows in excel).

In a perfect world, I would own the Dell with the F2380s panel + the Dell's response time. The Eizo may be that or close to it.

Yeah well i think the Eizo is great, just keep hearing IPS as "the" panel, so thought it might be better. I think the response time is fine on the eizo, a bit blur now and then but i dont complain about it. but guess it will be another eizo :)
