Any suggestions for a new board to get when I order my new 6xxx gfx card? It needs to be intel CPU board. I would like the option to do xfire down the road. It also needs to handle 12-16GB of ram. Budget is not an issue.

Why do you need a new motherboard? A 6xxx card will work fine in any current one. And if you do want a recommendation, we'll need to know the rest of your system specs as well.

Just get any x58 or a large number of AM3 boards. As stated previously, you don't need a new board for the card (unless your current setup sucks).

Any x58 boards better than others?
There are minor differences, but in general as long as you pick a decent model there are no major advantages or disadvantages compared to a different decent board.

You still haven't answered the questions I asked in my previous post. More information is needed in order to give you a proper recommendation.

I7 920
12GB ram
2 x raptor 600gbs

Do you already have a motherboard and you want to get a better one, or do you need to get one in the first place?

Fine, if you refuse to give me any useful information then I'll just suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131642

Thanks for the suggestion. You dont need me SSN to suggest a few great motherboards. I told you I wanted a new board, I wanted it to do xfire, I wanted to play games, I need for it to handle 12-16GB of ram, intel chipset, and that budget is not an issue. So the fact that I am getting the latest GFX card on the market, have 12gb of ram, telling you that budget is not an issue, well, common sense should kick in and tell you I want a really nice motherboard.

what socket? 1366? if so, what he suggested is really good!

and please loose the attitude....

R3E is a nice board. Zero was just wondering WHY you need a new board. Such as if your current one had a feature lacking that the R3E will provide. You probably won't notice a difference with much of anything compared to your old board too. I never seen someone wanting to just upgrade their motherboard just for a video card series.

Really guys. Do I have to tell you that I am giving my old setup to my nephew because his parents are broke as a joke and they cant afford anything? Does it matter? My old setup is a Rampage II with a 5970, 12gb ram and a i7 CPU. There it is. And in 2 weeks I will not have it so it does not matter. I provided all of the info that was important to me for a board. I dont need it to have windshield wipers or take out the trash. I provided the proper amount of info to give me a rec.

thank God im not an admin, i'd ban you just for your attitude...

someone with such an attitude should know better than any i7 motherboard is alright for the 6 series...
