Can you check for dead pixels not using native resolution?

I'm currently using a 3008wfp in 1920x1200 as I'm not near my main rig and I haven't seen any dead pixels. So is it possible there might be some dead pixels when I actually do try it with my main rig?

Depends on whether you let the monitor scale the image or not...
If you stretch the image to full screen all pixels are used and thus if any of them is stuck or black you will see it (depending on what you are showing).

If you are not doing any scaling and viewing it 1:1 then any pixel in the black borders might be bad without you noticing.

Well I've used same color images over the resolution of 1920x1200 to check in which the colors take up the entire screen.

If all the pixels are lit up then yes you can check for dead/stuck pixels.

Please dont do it!

It is better to know nothing than know something.

If you cant see with your naked eye, then let it be.

For the love of God listen to chong, someone pointed out a stuck red pixel on my monitor and since then, that's all i see when the screen has a dark scene on it.

Well if you could easily return or exchange it still, I'd assume you'd want to find the defects?
