Starcraft in 5 minutes : SPOILER ALARM!

For those of you who don't know of or about oStarcraft, you don't deserve to live. However, thats not my call so here's something for you to catch up on so we all don't have to murder you in a slow, interesting ways.

It's like some kind of Zero Punctuation knock off. Kinda lame IMO. I guess it's "ok" for a summary.

There's also this if you want to watch all the in game
cinematic, mission briefings, and in game dialouge without having to play through the whole thing. This is as close to the real experience of starcraft's campaign you can get if you're too lazy to play it yourself (for shame!).

I lol at you not being able to enjoy $100 worth of game for $60. SC2 has one of the best campaigns ive ever seen, and im only %15 done, its massive. When i lol at people its for paying $60 for CoD remakes.

i lol at people dumb enough to think that the single player in an RTS game is the only reason you buy it.. but then again you probably sit there wasting away your life and money on WoW and MW2.. so i guess i should expect that..

I'm curios how this will fare in the competitive scene.

Never had any interested in playing SC and W3 campaigns, it was always about the 1v1 micro/macro/strat wars.

I just don't get it. the game looks boring as hell with nothing but click click click. sorry but I will stick with games like HL 2 and such.

Nice.. I was just thinking today that I wanted to refresh my mind on the SC1 story. Thanks for the link

Have you never played a real-time strategy game?
no and that's basically my point. I have looked into them before but its just not my type of game. really I just don't see why people find those games so entertaining. and I certainly don't get the insane amount of hype for SC 2.

I was very, very disappointed by the campaign. Any SC1 vet can make meat of it in a few hrs. Its basically 1/3rd of a game thats been done for who knows how long, collecting dust. (to be released later for maximum profit)

I know that SC2s focus is multiplayer, but what game isnt thats been released in say, the last 10 years? When compared to the WC3's campaigns (and FT, which is an expansion with its own set of campaigns) SC2's single player is a joke. The "interaction" on the Hyperion is just a fluffy gimmick attempting to stretch out the campaign a little.

What would people say if Warrner Bros only released disc 1 of 2 when FOTR came to DVD?

to me RTS games are like chess and I get satisfaction using my cunning and intellect to beat my opponent. RTS games are not friendly to feeble minds or those who are not superior at multi-tasking.

Well you wouldn't understand the hype if you don't like RTS's. It's a strategy game, the draw is strategy, like chess. And you can dumb down any PC game to just "click click click..."

exactly

yeah I must be feeble minded then...

Yeah, I wish I didn't have a feeble mind so I could play RTS games. el-oh-el.

Turn-Based Strategy is more like chess, RTS is where everyone moves everything as quick as they can, slightly harder, but only because it requires more repitition/knowledge of maps to cut that 0.2 seconds off getting that xxx built.

That's my main problem with RTS games. I generally enjoy them until I get to the point where I am memorizing things like that to shave a quarter second off this and that. It turns from a dynamic flow into a mechanical clicking game that just isn't that much fun.

How does a thread about Starcraft get turned into an opinion poll on whether you like RTS or can understand why other people like them. If you don't like them, why are you posting here? Get the fuck out.
