My Dell 2407 WFP is dying a slow death after almost 4 years of rocksolid performance. There's is no doubt that this is the best Computer Display forum in existence with some hugely knowledgeable people. Displays are the one area in the enthusiast realm where I'm the least adept. I would certainly value your suggestions.

Here's what I'm looking for:

Primary Uses: Business Apps, Programming, Occasional Photo Work and Gaming ... Text clarity and reasonbly good color accuracy are very important as I will spend a number of hours each day on it.

Specs: 23"- 24" 16:9 or 16:10 (16:10 preferred) solid construction, addjustable stand, very reliable, with excellent support, warranty, and dead pixel policy

Brand Preference: Nec, Dell, HP and others will be considered

Budget: up to $600

My thanks in advance and I appreciate this community's help!

Dell U2410

$499 on sale. IPS panel. 24" 16:10. Every input known, PiP I do believe

Thanks for the repy EvilViking. I have it narrowed down to the U2410 and the HP zr24W. I was kind of leaning towards the HP.

I have been doing a lot of monitor reading on here the past month even though I only registered a few days ago.

Both the U2410 and the ZR24W will be great choices for you. The Dell is a bit more expensive and might have green/pink tinting issues.. the HP is less expensive but has more back light bleeding IIRC. They both use the same panel so it is basically up to price and what problems you may have to deal with. From what I have read it seems exchanges on both companies have been granted freely within their given warranty time frames. I give my vote for the U2410 but I am sure both will suite your needs great, and if you're leaning towards the HP I bet you can be happy with it as well. If you choose the Dell keep an eye out as it seems every couple days they put it down to $499 (check both Dell home and Dell business sites as sometimes they vary in price as well).

Thanks for a very reasonable and solidly supported reply!
