I'm looking to replace my creative XFI fatality one sound card. I'm tied of no driver updates from creative for more than a year. The driver for windows 7 isn't even whql certified. What is a good sound card under $100 that is comparable to the XFI sound card? That has good support drivers etc..

Thanks

Honestly, if you haven't had any real problems with the soundcard you have now, I wouldn't really bother getting a new one.

Yeah I think I'll stick with it. I found some places that have modded drivers that are up to date, unlike creative who release a driver about once every 2 years..

Since I don't own an X-Fi currently, I was wondering what problems you were having with your current drivers. Do they cause problems in games?

care to share about these modded drivers and where they can be obtained?

M-Audio 24/96 from NewEgg, $89, digital out with a great DAC, Win7x64 drivers nice and stable. Drawback is that you need some extra gear if you want a mic etc since it's only got stereo RCA input and digital input, but it will free you from Creative labs monopoly on PC gamer cards.
