Which DVI -> HDMI adapter to get?

[bassballboy]

I need a DVI -> HDMI adapter to plug into the DVI output off of my friend's 4770, so he can plug the HDMI into his TV and get full audio and video out. There are ~7 of them that fit the bill on here:

What's the difference? Will the $3 one do what he wants?

I assume your using the typical HDMI connector with female connectors on both ends?

You want the MALE DVI to FEMALE HDMI.

And yes, it's listed as $3 there.

I believe you meant the HDMI cable is male on both ends, but yes

wtf is the difference between all of those male DVI to femal HDMI adapters? It's mind boggling.

Careful while all of them will work for video you need to find one that's meant to carry audio as well.

Several reviews mention the audio on ATI cards works.
