Go 'Spider PC'!

That's very very cool, but I think I still like the Wall-E computer case more. :D

Of course, that thing would look menacing if you had a i5 with a TRUE on it on that thing. :p

So its not a good test bench.. whats the point then? You'll get to enjoy hearing your CPU, video card and PSU fans?

Isn't this the same thing we saw in like October of last year and everyone thought it was just a halloween prank? I seem to recall it was listed as like $500 to order

OFN,

This was posted not long back on HardOCP.

But this is an actual review rather than a promo movie, it helps to read what the topic is about before you make dumb posts.

This case is pointless, it doesn't even support a useful form factor, it completely defeats the purpose of m-itx!

Possibly a contender for most pointless case ever.

That wasn't even much of a review itself. Kept going on saying that since it's SOOOOOOOOOO UNIQUE anything you'd have to complain about is dismissed.

No. I'll say it.

This case fucking SUCKS.

And worse, it's overpriced even by Lan Li's own standards.

As if the Antec Skeleton (or whatever it's called) wasn't ugly / stupid enough, along comes this "Spider". Seriously, WTF? That Antec case is big as it is, but looks like this stupid thing will require even more space for, near as I can tell, less crap. This is a good thing how?

-It's ugly

-You have to build it yourself (IKEA anyone?)

-Takes up a lot of unnecessary space

-Construction doesn't look too stable or durable

-Doesn't protect the components from cats, children or from your feet, should you wish to place the "case" on the floor

-Zero "airflow"

-Doesn't muffle the sound of fans, hard drives etc.

-You can't put stuff on top of the case (CD's, books, a can of beer or a cup of coffee for example)

+It's red

+Looks kind of unique. That doesn't make it useful, though.

Wow, this is a lot of hatefest.

Listen guys, stop and think for a second -- they're not trying to mass produce this. They're trying to create something thats unique and stands out, and it does an excellent job of doing that. Plus, it does look menacing to me. I mean, you must be tired from the same old "computer parts go in a box case" routine that has been going on for how many years?

Look, I know it has its own pros and cons, and I'll be the first to admit that in this case the cons do outweigh the pros -- it's all a matter of finding that person who will think that being unique is better than all cons combined.

Unique case or no I'm pretty sure I could build a better one for maybe $20 at lowes or home depot. This disappointing. Its like giving a scuba diving suit a 9.0 because somebody ducktaped a Motherboard to it.
