and do a click-through on the prices, because I'm getting better prices on the website than I'm seeing on the flyer. I zoom in on the flyer by clicking on a part of the flyer than isn't hotlinked to the website. Or click-through by clicking on a hotlink area.

yea they are thru mc only mac prices are controlled so we offer that rebate to get people in the store.
plus if you need a printer 9times out of 10 there is an extra mir or instant off when bought with a new pc/mac. This helps us compete with the mac store. Plus our authorized techs work on macs instore so it works out good. :)

eh make sure you do it right and if you have issues call the store you got if from and have em help out we will call on your behalf and do what we can. My customers get their rebates if you do em right

I didn't know I shared my store with a fellow [H]'er. I was planning another trip up there, but it might not be until we thaw out a bit.
 
too bad the weather is still terrible here in Minnesota I've been trying to get to MC to return ram and I think today is my last day, I would probably return and get a Vertex if I could get there.

Salesman gave me slower OCZ Ram than I asked for and then one stick died. It was an easy mistake I guess since they had the same price and the same rebate. I guess I can mail it to the store but of course the plastic case I was holding so carefully on to disappeared. Do you know if I mail them the ram without the original packaging if it will be a problem?
 
I love microcenter. Going to visit again for another core i7 and either a core i5 or a core 2 quad.

I got 2 sick kids home, so thought it would be uncool to swing in there on my way home. But I thought about it.

I'm laughing because I did just 'heal' (read: reseat video card after 2 failed attempts) my desktop right after I priced out parts. And now big price drops again.

Might move into a bigger case anyhow as I'll do Win7 on its own drive and I'm starting to run out of room in my current case.

Yeah, everone knows that, and it's been posted here numerous times in the past year. I like Microcenter, but their mobo prices suck.

I just wish the OP would have posted links to actual deals, instead of just directing us to the MC website. Pretty shameless and lazy, imo.

holy crap one case is better!!! not everything is cheaper but alot of nice stuff you can pick up take home and build that night is

I cant believe someone would actually want the op to link to every item, Please, give the guy a break, you want him to link every sale item in the thread, I am sure you would have done the same, ofcourse they are not going to have everything cheap, you get what you need, like I grabbed a gtx 260 core 216 from bfg for 150 bucks at my local microcenter store for another system at house, pretty damn good deal if you ask me. I am amazed that someone would expect one person to put a list of catalog, just search for what you need and see if it is on sale, its that easy.

Besides the ubiquitously posted processor deals, and perhaps that GTX 260, I have yet to see any hot deals in the sale. I never requested the OP post every item. All I asked was that the best deals, the ones that are better than anywhere else, be posted in addition to the post that currently exists. I can't belive you wouldn't expect someone to actually post particularly "hot deals" in the Hot Deals forum.

A [H]ot Deal is an item at a price that has little to no current competition. It must be the lowest price.
 
^^^ I can understand the rules here but I think the main point of OP was that there are sales going on, I think he wanted to point that out more than the actual deals themselves.

I for one actually appreciate threads like this. I live almost 40 minutes from my local MC, so I don't ever just drop in to check things out. Sometimes they don't list all the sales/deals on their website either.

Everyone is saying Newegg Newegg Newegg but MC actually has decent prices and you can buy stuff and take it home and play with it that day. That's the MC advantage. Plus if you get home and it doesn't work you can take it back instead of having to ship it back to NE. Don't get me wrong I love Newegg but sometimes you just want something instantly and MC is great for that.

I picked up a Scythe Musashi the other day and because of this deal it came out to $42 w/ tax. Not too bad...
 
Holy crap. I mailed my Ram back to the store and the next day they were already issuing a refund to my credit card even though it was technically 2 days past warranty (stupid long months). The next day the operations manager called me and left a message letting me know when the refund was issued and gave me his phone number if I had any questions.

I am very impressed with their level of service and will shop their as often as possible.

thats my point i used to shop the egg ,its nothing personal. Lots of people come in every day just to get a 920 or 860 and have no idea the, board memory video card psu case (no shipping) ect.. they want is right there for the same if not cheaper not to mention doa's and use it that night. Just trying to open some eyes not bash new egg
 
Is your name Dan? What department are you usually in? I will have to look for you next time I am in. I live down off 74 so MC is very close for me. I don't usually pick up big ticket items at MC, I did pick up a couple monitors and PSU on BF though.
