Apple MobileMe Find My iPhone question

I have Find My iPhone and registered and everything. A few hours ago, I briefly left it behind in a lecture because it had fallen out of my pocket. I hurried back to my seat, the iPhone wasn't there. I logged onto mobile me, and it seemed to be tracking the phone. The last it updated, the phone was a few blocks from where the lecture should be. My phone automatically code locks after an hour, so it should have had a code on.

Then, however, it started saying that the phone is offline. Now when I try to log into Find My iPhone, it alternates between saying Find My iPhone and Remote Wipe are unavailable because of a connection error. and that no device is registered!!!

What's going on? Please help! I really really can't afford to lose my phone!

This is shaping up to be a really bad day, but just tried calling it with another phone and it still rings...
:(

What can they do besides shut down my account? If they do that I won't be able to use the 'Track my iPhone' features and I might lose all chance of finding it again.

What I had in mind was more whether any of you know how 'Find My iPhone' on mobileme works, whether this means someone has done something to stop me tracking it or if it's temporary and I'll be able to track it again at some point in future.

Also, if I can hear the phone ringing when I call it, does that mean that it still has the sim card inside and is on?

It's now saying 'push is not enabled or you are not connected to a wireless network.' :s

But it was tracking it earlier!! Arrgh x(
