+1 9800GTX for SETI

[xdivenx]

I was tired of getting eue's with Folding@Home, so tonight I just finished downloading and setting up Boinc to use my 9800GTX. 89% percent done with my first unit. Feels good.

I joined the HardOCP team! Anyone on that team active over here?

Yes we are very active. Our Seti team is HardOCP
If your going to run Seti may I suggest an optimized GPU app.
Easy to install and helps a lot.

Windows 32 or Windows 64 - these are what you need and then you have choices when you install as to what work units you are working on like CUDA only or whatever.
If using newer Nvidia drivers copy the CUDA 2.3 files into the Seti app directory then start Boinc.

Razor, I think you picked up another Commando

Welcome to the team xdrivenx! Thanks for joining the party!

If you get bored, check out the DC Vault thread for a wealth of BOINC knowledge on lots of different BOINC projects (including SETI). If you have any questions just ask. Good to have you aboard!

Well we could use some help to be honest.
Currently there are so many projects it is hard to cover them all with the current ranks of the commandos and we are trying to break into the top 10 in the DC-Vault, we are so close and every little bit helps.

Thanks for your contributions xdivenx (DivineX), we are very glad to have your help.

I read a guide online and already the lunatics unified installer for Cuda. Anything else I should do?

Im at 187 units as of this monring

Looks like your up and running strong.
If you have any idle CPU cores, there are many Boinc projects that we are working on to further our position in the DC-Vault.
Thanks for your contributions DivineX.

Tell me where to join next. I was looking at joining the Dynaping project, but I wasn't impressed by one of the admin's attitudes there. Is there another place you wanted some help at?

I wouldn't mind putting some of my 64x2 @3Ghz to work.

[Razor_FX_II]

Well we could use some help on:
Genetic Life
Enigma
Poem
Yoyo
Cosmology
or where ever you like. We are not picky.
We always appreciate any help, anywhere.
The DC-Vault list is a good place to look and see where you may want to help at.
We have a list of all projects that we are in The Official Project List Threadand the [H]ard DC Commandos pass information back and forth in the DC-Vault thread.

I hopped on Cosmology, only 10 active members there. Thanks for the suggestions.

PS. Also adding a 9600GT mobile and my C2D.

Excelent !
We defiantly need the help in Cosmo and the 9600GT will add all that much more fire power to our team.
Thanks for helping us go after the top ten spot in the DC-Vault.
