ATI's DX11 "Juniper" Pictures.

I like the idea of 2 DVI + 2 HDMI connections but wasn't there another way to get the vent across the top or bottom?

Shouldn't really do much for airflow considering it probably looks something like this on the inside (excuse my poor paint drawing)

so just drawing more air out of a smaller hole, really no difference probably in cooling and its probably the only way to effectively get 2 dvi+hdmi+dp on there....

thats an awful lot of wasted "white" space there, I call shenanigans... :p

I have to say, that is one of the worst Paint drawings.... ever. ;)

4 displays on one card...

Lets see.... 4 memory modules showing, assuming another 8 on the other side at 128mb each yields 1536mb based on the alleged 384 bit bus. But that's a lot of assuming

the card looks amazing.. may be my first ATI card that i have purchased since i was in junior high

You can save a portion of a drawing in Paint by selecting it using the selection tool, then using Edit|Copy to and saving the file from there.

Possibly the card shown isn't a final cooler/backplate design, just something for sampling.

Also possible is that these guys just don't run that hot :p

Can't wait till Sept 10th... man, its gonna be an awesome day

New GPU review (i love this part :D) + new Supernatural season starts (best show ever, period)

Well the 4770 runs pretty cool, so maybe ATI decided they didn't need so much vent space and went with the extra connectivity options instead?

It doesn't look like it has dual pci-e power connections so it might run cooler. Hopefully the fan isn't that loud this time.

looks like it only has one pci-e power connection prolly a mid-range card, i just hope that it doesn't get hot as my 4870

wouldn't that small vent create a bottleneck?

I think the smaller vent just means that the air velocity would be greater, assuming proper heatsink design to direct all airflow outward through the vent.

they should just do away with DVI all together on the card, and instead use hdmi only. they can always include a couple hdmi-dvi dongles

Yea, lets just include DVI to HDMI dongles hurr..

I wouldn't mind using HDMI to DVI cables... it would clear up the back plate if there were only a couple HDMI / DisplayPort connections... DVI is big and not any better than HDMI
