LetsTalk.com has the Palm Pre for $99 after a MIR

MIR terms. Basically you can't claim the MIR until your 4th bill shows your account paid in full (to date) and you have to make the claim between 120 and 180 days of subscribing.

So the MIR terms suck, but if you were going to buy this anyway why not do this?

Also, check out the pricing section of this Palm Pre review. It basically shows how the rate plans for the pre are lower than any other competition in it's class. Of course coverage and such are things to consider as well, and the phone itself, but worth thinking about no?

AFAIK, Let's Talk is reputable, but the MIR hassles make the deal only warm. Sprint is offering a referral program right now (http://www.sprint.com/landings/refrewards/), and you can get $25 credited to your account if you get a code from someone (or go to a site like RetailMeNot or Fat Wallet).

Darn... got one two weeks ago for $200 after rebate.

Phone is great, like it a good deal better than my former iphone. Best part Sprint is head and shoulders better coverage and quality than AT&T and a little cheaper.

Went to a sprint store today and mentioned the deal, they said something about having a contract with letstalk and sprint and having to pay both of them if you cancel. Don't know if it's true or not but I'd read the fine print before buying.

It's true. If you change your plan (null and void with the Pre, but on other phones...) or cancel, you owe Letstalk a LOT of money.

Damn of course because I already have a plan with sprint the price jumps from $99 to $300

Mind if I ask what area you are in?
I'm trying in SoCal (the IE)and trying to get a feel for Sprint coverage around here.

Sprint coverage on my Pre has been great in Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Nevada.

I live in Riverside and the Sprint coverage around here is great. I actually switched from AT&T about 4 years ago mainly because the phone coverage was very mediocre around here. I hear it's better now since they merged with that other company. Anyway, the IE sprint coverage is solid.

Palm Pre kicks ass, few kinks to work out yet, but for 1.1 software she's good.

I've purchased 3 phones from Let'sTalk and never had the slightest problem. Easy, fast RMA service, too.

Don't like the Palm Pre, though.

Sprint coverage in san diego is pretty good from what I've seen so far. I dunno if this counts as the IE, but I'm posting this from catalina island :) love the pre so far as well.

Wow .. a thread praising Sprint. I'm not used to hearing this. I work for Sprint and I went from an iphone to the Pre when it came out.

The phone is pretty cool ... as soon as they really start releasing applications it'll rock.

From what I've been hearing, they've really stepped up their game lately. That, or the other carriers have slipped below Sprint in terms of customer service and network quality.

NYC. So much better than AT&T.
Any big metro is too congested for AT&T. Sprint is generally better in this regard because there are simply less people on the network.

I believe that BBY had it for $99 starting a few weeks ago. It won't be long before that's the standard price with a 2 year contract. Unless the policy has changed you can't activate it on SERO plans (if you don't know what that is, it doesn't apply to you).

Sprint really has stepped up it's game lately. I've been employed by Sprint for a few years now ... it's funny hearing people turn the corner .... liking Sprint.
