Hi guys,

I'm currently trying to get my feet wet in the watercooling world (no pun) and from reading thus far, I have selected:

CPU block: HeatKiller 3.0
GPU: Heatkiller GPU-X2 LT or EK 4870x2 Nickel
Pump: Swiftech MCP355 with XSPC reservoir attachment

Radiator/fans: ?

I've heard the 4870x2 gets really hot, so would it be more beneficial to run 2 loops?

Thanks for any input

edit: i would like to oc but it's not a priority

just get a 3x120 and you will be good. you dont need 2 loops.

youll still be able to OC

As I'm pretty space-limited (I'm working on a Shuttle SG31G2), would it be smart to use a Feser X-Changer Dual 120mm? I'm thinking of attaching this above the case. The triple rads are about 5 inches longer than the total length of my case

What speed fans were you hoping to use?

A 4870X2 is taxing enough on a dual radiator alone...

Where would you mount the other radiator if you ran dual loops? Just put a second radiator somewhere in the loop - where you would have mounted the rad for the 2nd loop.

I recommend a 120x2 radiator for the videocard and a 120x2 for the CPU. Dual loops would be wise also. But a MCP355 w/ top has enough pressure for the loop your wanting.

The Black Ice Pro series and Swiftech MCR Series are great radiators for the money and they are pretty decent with low-medium speed fans.

I really like the finish my old BIP 120x3 had. So I would recommend that, but pick whichever you like.

You can also get a 120x4 Radiator, which isn't a bad idea. For low speed fans I recommend the XSPC RX480 for low speed fans. The RX360 even beats the Thermochill PA120.3. For high speed fans, you can get the Thermochill 120.4 which just came out or the Black Ice GTX480.

I'm not too familiar with the different fans and their performance. I'm not anal about the sound so much, so maybe their rpm can be controlled (?) I could get stackable radiators and put them on the roof of the shuttle perhaps.

you can get a rheostat to control the fans. The stack rads are sorta expensive. Maybe just get a 120.4?
