There are a lot of different controllers out there for PC so list them if you plan on playing it July 7.

I myself am gonna use: SEGA Saturn USB :D

Hellz yeah! Sega Saturn had some of the best controllers. I always liked the shape and 6 button layout.

Maybe get one of these for old-school feel? http://www.xgaming.com/tankstick-arcade-game.shtml

Man I really want one but omg it's just one of those things I do not think I'd use very much. I'd much prefer a quality pad, and tbh until I found out SEGA actually released USB Saturn pads I thought I was gonna have to use an old ass Microsoft Sidewinder.

Uh DUH! Don't you know that Mouse and Keyboard is better for games, ALWAYS!

Uhm, actually I'll probably end up using my wired 360 controller, since I already have it.

I have SFIV for the 360 and that controller is f'in terrible for this game. I'd rather play Wii Sports with a 400lb fat woman than play one more round with that gd controller.

I'd seriously look into the Saturn USB, PSX clone, or Logitech Controllers.

I have a Logitech dual action , it works fine but the PSX layout isn't very good for Fighting games. I didnt know they make a Sega Saturn USB controller , I'll have to pick one of those up for sure.

I like the Logitech rumblepads myself. Pretty simple and very comfortable.

That's an awesome stick you made. I'm going to be using my Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition FightStick X360.

I'll be using either my TE or SE Full modded (Sanwa) when the PC version comes out.

I'd rather stick with the keyboard. It's faster and more responsive than any other controller i've tried.

I agree with others, I'm using mouse + keyboard.

I've got a USB HORI Fighting Stick but with the advantages that mouse + keyboard offer I'd be stupid to use the actual joystick.

I have a PS3 TE stick on order, but will still use the keyboard for the PC version.

Ultimately how good the PC version is will depend upon how good the match making system is. I am very weary and suspicious of any game that depends on P2P GFWL, but in a game like SF4 it might be okay.

TE stick or custom stick, no other option for me. I do know some people that are disgustingly good at 3S with keyboard but it's very rare.

My stick:

Originally a Mayflash stick.
Sanwa JLW and OSBF-30s.

Switch on the front toggles between PS2/3 and 360 PCBs.

I don't see any advantages of mouse + keyboard over my joysticks.

Not the mouse. Just the keyboard. Faster reaction times and tighter combos due to the way the hand is laid out on the keyboard.

Left Hand: If need be, the finger can actually press on both keys simultaneously
Ring (Q, A)
Middle (W,S)
Index (E,D) + (R,F)

Right Hand:
Index (Left Arrow)
Middle (Up/Down Arrows)
Ring (Right Arrow)

In street fighter, that means naturally fast switch between attacking and blocking since your forward and back keys are on separate fingers.

As opposed to joysticks where you need to move your entire left arm just to move your character and your entire hand to button mash.

If you've watched a keyboard player, his posture isn't any different from someone playing CounterStrike. Joystick users, in order to increase their reaction time, seem to be doing their best to break the joystick in two. I know coz i have an arcade style stick and i've gone up against friends on the emulators with me on the keyboard.

I dunno, I never flail my arm when playing, I just use my wrist to play, and its effective. Maybe it's just me, but I play way better on stick than on keyboard. And I used to play fighting games on my PC with the keyboard too. The character I play would just not work very well with keyboard for SFIV, C. Viper arguably the most complex / most input than any other character per match.

Try a Sanwa or Seimitsu modded stick sometime. Very responsive, more so than a keyboard. You hardly have to press the buttons to engage them and the joystick with an octagonal gate is extremely accurate. After modding a few of my Hori and MadCatz sticks I have to say it's just a night and day difference.

Get a stick.

I've played 2d fighters competitively for the past decade and there's a reason why 99% of the players use one.

Because it's simple, durable and the only one available in the arcades. Not because it's better at controlling your character.

I've done direct comparisons. I have both joypads and arcade sticks, and used to regularly play with my friends with arcade sticks and joypads as their controllers of choice vs me on the keyboard. I'm not even a hardcore like them but i could still keep up with sheer reaction speed.

Play Crimson Viper on keyboard, I know it can be done, I can do it I'm sure, but it just won't feel right at all.

But then again, I'm sure the typical shoto's will be no problem for anyone, since they are so basic and easy, a child can do it.

I'm actually thinking of buying a controller to play some games, when I setup my 120'' screen, but for starters, I'll stick with the keyboard as I did with all previous Street Fighters.

Yeah, because an arcade cabinet has no usb ports in which to plug in a keyboard. Seriously, what the hell are the other 1% of competitive players using other than a joystick, and how is it possible that they have any other option?

I might look into a stick later but it just seems like one of those things I wouldn't use for anything other than SFIV. Besides the greatest fighting pad ever invented is only 14 bucks; (SFIV Madcatz controllers are no where in the same league)

wireless x360 ftw :)

I don't know how people are using a keyboard. I'm sure it would be easier for doing certain moves since there's little room for error, but I can't imagine playing for more than a few matches, especially this game (it's gets ridiculously difficult at times). Your hands are going to hate you lol

You have to be joking, the xbox 360 is utterly crap for SF4!

gonna use my HRAP3 on a usb switcher between my PS3 and PC to play SF4 on both!
