GTX 295 + corei7

I'm quite new with high end hardware etc.and having hard time to oc (stable) my corei7
not sure if the ram settings are incorrect or is bad bios ( im getting tripple boot errors only
with cold system) after that my system load defaults really anoying happend alot times
i'm new with oc but i learn abit, anyway cant get (my cpu stable oc ) So i want to know
is corei7 @ stock enough for GTX295 ? i love maximum eye candy force it trough
control panel 1920 x 1200 maximum settings.


(Supersampling,enchance the application settings, texture filtering high quality
anisotropic filtering 16X,4XAA ) so i want to know will i get few fps more with cpu @ 3.6?
using real life mod and the settings above fps drop to 24 and getting the game/s laggy

maybe your cpu cant handle 3.6. lower the OC to 3.2 and try again. (could be not enough voltage for the chip to function @ a cold boot @ 3.6)

Well vcore 1.36 not enough for 3.6 :( ? anyway does it worth to try so hard ?
will i get more fps ? or not.
 
In my experience with my i7 920 and my GTX 295s, you don't really gain that much between 3.2 and 3.6ghz. Even at 4.2ghz it's not a big difference for me really, but I haven't run a single GTX 295 for more than a little testing and benching before I added the second into my system.
